This rate reflects the Passport America discount. While there are no activities, this is the prettiest desert park we've stayed in. Each very long, level site includes trees and several kinds of cactus. We did not hear any highway noise even though it's right off the highway. Their ad says there's a restaurant and satellite TV: these are no longer available. We were unable to get any over the air TV stations. For an overnight stay, you can't beat this price.
This is a Passport America rate. Most of the sites are permanent/seasonal. While there are no activities, etc., if you are looking for a quiet park - this is it. It's close to many attractions: Fredericksburg, Bandera and the Wine Trail to mention a few. Many very good local restaurants nearby. Laundry was very nice. The only drawback was there is no over the air national TV station. However, you can get ION, RTV and a couple others.
This is now a Carefree Park. This was the second time we stayed at this park. It was better the last time. They do not keep up the grounds. The staff is friendly, but overworked. There are fewer than last time. The look and feel is definitely tropical - especially with all the no seeums. The laundry is open to the public, so it's busier than most campgrounds. However, it is cleaned every morning and the gal that does it is wonderful. There are grocery stores and drug stores close by, but everything else is quite a drive. If you want to kick back, get one of their "special" rates. If you want other things to do, look outside Homosassa.
Rate is based on the monthly rate. This campground has one of the best laundry facilities. The prices are good and the washers and driers work great. The restroom/shower was immaculate. Everyone, staff and campers, were very friendly. They have the most delicious all you can eat chicken dinner on Tuesday nights. We went to Disney, which was an easy 45 minute drive. There was something going on every day and evening at this park. Who could ask for more?
