Wonderful park. Our site was on the water. We were next to the water station and were able to connect our camper to the water since we had a a splitter (the park told us about using a splitter connector). I would definitely stay again.
The park is nice but the bathrooms were very dirty. The pool also had scum marks along the side. The lake had water lily's all over it and it did not look inviting. We had a senior pass so the cost was $8. The cost for others would be $16. I am not sure that I would go back there.
Our rate was a senior rate with America Beautiful Senior Pass. The park is beaurtiful and our spot was right on the lake. Very convenient to Hot Springs. Our camping spot was right next to the beach. The weather was horrible when we were there so we didn't get to do very much. I would love to go back (in good weather).
This is a new park so there is little shade, although the park has planted trees at each location. The bathrooms were brand new, beautiful and very spacious. The lake is in walking distance from the campground. There is a playground for the children and the playgrounds have water spouts. We would stay again.
This park has an incredible pool which goes from 2' to 25'. The water temperature stays between 72-75 degrees year round. The bathrooms were clean. The park was very nice and a good place to stay with children. There were people in the pool when we stayed there. The pool size is approx. an acre. We would stay there again. The only negative is the showers were separate but the area where you would put your clothes was a common area.
This was a very beautiful park. There is a island around the lake which has picnic tables and also a beach where you can swim. There is so much to see and do. Fishing is available in the lake which is stocked by the park. The water was clear and cool. There is also a natural hot tub but it is small. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. We would definitely stay there again.
This was a small park. The park is in foreclosure. This is a mom and pop type of park and the manager that ran the park was very nice. The laundry facilities were very convenient. The park was neat and near many tourist attractions such as the McDonald Observatory. We enjoyed our stay there. We received information about a scenic drive around the area which was very nice. The information was given to us by the manager and she also gave us information on tourism attractions.
The place was convenient for us and not far from restaurants and groceries. The problem I incurred was there was not enough bathrooms available when I needed them. I was told by the security guard that there were other bathrooms but not heated (it was cold while we were there). All in all in was a good place to stay and I would stay again. Be aware that is it is noisy for those who like quiet.
The park has many spots but the spots are very near each other. I enjoy meeting people so having others close-by was great! The park has a pool (closed during winter) and a clubhouse with many activities such as shuffleboard. The days we were there the park sponsored a Superbowl party. The park is close to the interstate so there is road noise at night but we are not light sleepers so it wasn't a problem. We would go back again.
Beautiful park. My only complaint was that the bathrooms had no heat and no glass windows, only screens on the window. It happened to be unusually cold (27 degrees) and it was difficult to get out of the warm shower into a cold room. I am looking forward to going again in warm weather. Each site is set between beautiful oak trees and we were still able to use our satellite dish.
This was a wonderful park with lots of things to do. The park has a beautiful waterfall and lots of trails to explore. The park has a place to swim in a lake although a sign at the lake states "Alligators could be in the area". I asked the park ranger about this sign and was told that the alligators have not been a problem but that all fresh water parks in Florida must notify campers that alligators stay in fresh water.
