Rate cited reflects a Passport America discount. Overnight stop but would stay longer if planned. Gracious hostess and great service. Sites are fine. A nice breeze on the ridge. Needs a little TLC but overall and excellent stay.
We enjoyed our stay at TMTP. Great location for Hendersonville and surrounding area. Owners are pleasant and always helpful. He is a Navy man so what's not to like? The park and surrounding area is quiet at night, even the high school game one night wasn't disturbing. Restrooms and showers were excellent condition, very clean. Wi-Fi and cable were excellent. Half the park is shaded sites, the other are open but not bad as the sun moves. Will stay here again when in the area. Also, Home Sweet Home for dog boarding, less than 2 miles south, a great place for your dogs to stay in an open home rather than kennel.
Close to Helen (5 miles), next to Unicoi State Park and National Forest and beautiful lakes. Owners live on-site and very well maintained campground. They are very friendly and helpful. Everything worked, WI-FI and cable were excellent. Eat at Ain't B's across the street, great food and great prices.
A little isolated but great short stay. Only 10 miles from Savannah GA. A little noisy as it is right on Rt 170 but at night is was fine. The park was in excellent condition, although no public use facilities available.
A beautiful state park on the ocean. The staff was extremely friendly, park in excellent condition and facilities were clean. A nice getaway park, away from noise, crowds and technology. We stayed in #47, right on the beachfront. Many other appealing sites there as well.
One of the best campgrounds we have stayed. Not cramped, level and well kept sites, full service. Very friendly staff who went the extra mile to make you happy. This trip got even better with our dogs staying at a local "doggie day care" Beagle B&B in Dobson, about a 10 minute drive from the CG. Will refer others and will stay here again.
Sites are jammed together, and there is little grass if any, in most sites. Shade is from your neighbor, as there are few trees. But the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The park served its purpose for our trip, but doubt we would stay again.
Passport America Rate listed. Nice, small, quiet park located off Hwy 25 so access to Greenville or Hendersonville, NC is easy. Friendly camp host was very informative and polite. We would recommend and stay again. Only downside is today's temperature of 98!
Sites are close together, lots of bees around rotted fences. Water had dirt in it; had to flush the system at the next stop. Park was quiet, nice host, and good location for local access. Would not stay there again.
Nice campground and site on Lake Hartwell. Well kept, rangers were friendly and helpful. Best for weekdays if no children, although no issues on weekend either. Nice park to walk with the dogs, see nature and enjoy the quiet.
Quiet yet well maintained. Short drive to Americus. Wi-Fi worked fine from the clubhouse which was open. If you enjoy peace and quiet, easy access to golf, history and extremely nice people, this is the spot. We enjoyed our stay, will recommend to others and will stay again when in the area.
Clean all around. Enjoyed the site we were in. Very pleasant staff. Short walk to salt water fishing pier, beach and port. Short drive to Cape Canaveral. After 5 PM wouldn't think your are next to a busy seaport. Would stay there again.
Highly impressed by this park. Kudos to the State of New York. Was right on the lake side, great view and breeze. It rained but not flooded out. Light traffic during the weekday, great little town to eat in and visit (Youngstown). Would stay again and longer.
It is a bit run down, and there are too many seasonal "shacks" that have seen better days. The place would be spectacular with a little maintenance. It's right on Lake Marion. We would have been better off at the state park for half the price.
