We were very impressed with this campground. The bathrooms were clean, the staff was very friendly & the splash complex was great. The kids really enjoyed that. It was over 100 degrees all weekend & the pool wasn't even that crowded. We had a nice spacious site, although the cable TV hookup was broken, but we were able to get it to work. There were activities for the kids as well. This is a great little getaway for us since the cost of fuel is keeping us closer to home. We will definitely be going back.
We stayed here over the Memorial Day holiday & it is a nice campground. Check in was a little slow & you have to follow the map to your site (which proved a bit confusing for some other guests). Our site had plenty of room. Restrooms were very clean & staff was friendly. There is a train that runs at different hours, but honeslty I hardly noticed it after the first day. It wasn't continuous, so not that bothersome. The campground was actually pretty quiet, considering it was full. Shuttle bus is great because it takes you back and forth to the park. All in all, not a bad campground.
This was our first visit to Bethpage and overall we really liked it. The staff was exceptionally nice and even the seasonal campers were friendly. We stayed in one of their "supersites", but was disappointed since it is a bit pricey and they are very narrow. It seemed that there is more room on the other sites, although they are only grass. There are lots of activities (some free and some for a fee) to keep you entertained and the staff seemed to make sure that all facilities were clean, even the small beach on the lake. There were tons of golf carts going up and down the streets from morning until the wee hours of the night, but most were careful of pedestrians. This is very convenient to our home as well, so we are already making plans to return soon.
We stayed here on the recommendation of our neighbors and loved it! Three of the four pools were open and had great entertainment by the front pool at night. The staff was super friendly. The jet noise was not bothersome at all, as maybe five jets went overhead all weekend. Our site was nice and level. We walked through the supersites and they were really nice, but much too pricey for me. The trolley is a great way to get around too. The only downside was the children and lack of supervision. Kids are riding bikes all hours of the day & night with no apparent care for pedestrians or motor vehicles. There are also no lifeguards at any of the pools and one child almost drowned during our visit. Signs are posted to swim at your own risk, but again no parental supervision is enforced. This is not the place to go if you're looking for a quite getaway either. Our whole family had a blast, so we will definitely return!
We took advantage of the free night of camping from KOA to visit this campground and were very pleased. Our campsite was level and spacious and also close to the bathrooms. The staff was very warm and friendly. They also had nightly planned activities. We will definitely return!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt very safe staying at this campground. However, on our first day, one toilet in the ladies room & two in the mens room were clogged. We just used our own after that! The pool was being cleaned, so the power washer was being run A LOT! And they replaced some landscaping and fence right beside our site, so that was a mess, not to mention noisy also. Of course not as noisy as the trains. After a few days we did get used to it, until one night when SEVEN trains went through. I had requested a site as far from the trains as possible, but we were put in the middle row, in a small back-in site. Good thing we don't have a slide out, because we could not have used it. Overall, it wasn't a terrible campground. We stayed there because of the availability of the public transportation. I would stay there only if I had to rely on using the city buses or wanted to be close to all attractions.
