Great park, friendly staff, and will not break the bank after a weekend of camping here! Lots of weekend activities. Huge pull through sites. I think every site in the campground is full hookup. There is a nice family restaurant on site in case you don’t feel like cooking.
This campground is a little out of the way, but well worth the drive. Nice, large, wooded sites. Crews are working on building new restrooms. Rangers were friendly and patrolled regularly. Nice trails to hike and lakes to swim in!
The campground was clean, but that is about the only good thing I can say. It is a very small campground that is way over priced. There is an extra charge for cable (which is horrible). Our particular site had a massive rock (size of small car) that stuck up about 12 inches under the awning. It also just happened to be near my entry door… Needless to say my toe hurts from tripping over the rock the entire weekend. Due to the boulder, the fire ring could not be used for fear of burning a hole in the awning fabric. Saturday evening we walked up to the store to find the staff in a verbal feud with each other. This wasn’t the worst campground I have ever stayed in, but it sure does make the worst 5 list. Most state parks we camped in have better sites.
