This cg is not the easiest to find and involves a drive through a congested light industrial neighborhood. However, once you get there, you find an attractive and restful facility. We found wide, level, shaded sites; extremely clean washrooms; an attractive pool; reasonably dependable wi-fi and an excellent cable TV system. There's an abundance of seasonal or permanent guests, obviously involving a lot of kids; yet, the cg was amazingly quiet. The campground store is very sparsely furnished. We stayed only overnight but would easily recommend it for that purpose.
This cg is conveniently near the TransCanada Highway, yet surprisingly quiet. It's located at the end of a drive through a strikingly lovely neighborhood. This was our second stay in three weeks, and both times we found the facilities as advertised and the staff cordial and efficient. However, as we stayed here only overnight each time, we didn't have an opportunity to view or utilize the park's amenities other than its well-appointed store. The sites are large, level and convenient, easily accommodating big rigs. But, there's virtually no shade, with trees located only around the perimeter, where seasonal campers seem to be relegated. The cg has several wi-fi sites, and we found their system functioned exceedingly well on each visit. We don't know if we'd want to spend a lot of time here but, for an overnight stay, you won't beat it.
This centrally located CG is an ideal spot from which to explore Cape Breton Island. We spent 12 days here, ranging from light occupancy to the Canada Day weekend, when the property was SLAMMED! The staff did a yeoman's job at controlling the pandemonium, but be prepared for a crowd. Other caveat: you're in the middle of the woods in a largely undeveloped area of an island; be prepared for no television (either OTA or US satellite), sporadic power outages, few conveniences and sparse wi-fi. Many will find this idyllic, while others may be turned off. We found the CG a pure delight, from the beautiful surroundings to a capable and extremely cordial management. The CG is convenient to Baddeck and Lake Bra d'Or, as well as to the start/end of the gorgeous Cabot Trail. It has a lovely pool, a well-stocked store, an excellent on-site restaurant, well-maintained grounds and very nice washroom/showers. We highly recommend as a destination; it's a keeper!
This campground, at least for a one-night stay, filled all our expectations. Easily reached in a fairly rural area, it is a lovely wooded property. It's remarkably quiet and exudes tranquility. Your kids will love the rabbits and chipmunks that run free on the grounds. Top-notch pool, immaculate restrooms, well-stocked store, excellent wifi and particularly cordial staff. Only downside: no TV cable, only one OTA station and no view of a satellite; but, unless you're a news junkie like we are, you won't care. Beyond that, we heartily recommend it and will return.
This is a lovely, heavily-wooded campground, convenient to the Interstate but amazingly quiet and restful. On our arrival, the extremely cordial staff made us feel comfortable, and nothing thereafter changed that. The facilities are great, from very neatly-kept grounds to a well-stocked store. Despite heavy trees, the roads and sites are easily negotiated. They also have a great cable TV system and multiple WiFi points. We could stay only a night, but would definitely recommend it to someone who wanted a base from which to explore the Boston area. This was a totally pleasant experience, and we'll stay here again on our way back south.
Nice campground with lots of activities (a luau underway the evening we arrived). Pool looked great, but tired and traveling without kids, we didn't try it. Well-appointed store and clean grounds. Driveways and sites are a tight fit, especially for larger rigs, and our site was cheek-by-jowl with our neighbors. Nice cable TV system, but WiFi service was for zilch! It dropped us within a minute or two each time we connected. The cramped feeling and WiFi failure detracted considerably from our overnight visit.
This campground was somewhat of a disappointment, although admittedly we didn't take advantage of all it has to offer in our single-night stay. On arrival, we found the staff courteous but obviously stressed and overworked by a rush of late-afternoon check-ins. Between campers and the telephone, they had no time for more than the most basic of civilities. Moreover, while realizing it was a weekend, we found we felt extremely crowded and wanting just a bit more space. If you're over the age of twelve and want to catch an occasional newscast on TV, you won't like the cable system; not even a single network station. Finally, no WiFi, unless you want to make what could be a long trek to sit outside the office at a picnic table. On the whole, not a particularly unpleasant spot, but we don't plan on staying there again.
This lovely campground is convenient to the Interstate and features a wealth of amenities, well-organized into a relatively compact but seemingly spacious area. The facility is extremely well maintained, and the restrooms are immaculate. The highlight, however, is the husband/wife team of owner-operators, who obviously see this as a labor of love. She will absolutely make your day when she greets you. We stayed a single night near the start of a six-week trip and look forward to visiting again on our way home. This one's a keeper!
This campground offered just about everything we needed for our one-night motorhome stay. Everything functioned properly, staff was cordial, restrooms were extremely clean and the atmosphere was peaceful. Access from the Interstate was convenient. Most impressive: a magnificently appointed store, complete with several less-than-common RV components. WiFi service was excellent. Probably wouldn't want to spend an extended time here, but, for our purposes, it filled the bill well.
