First off, the staff was very friendly, best around. A little too much by the book though. People were leaving everywhere on Sunday, we asked if we could leave the RV for 2 extra hours to go back into town (Last weekend of the year , end of Oct.) and they said I would have to pay 17.00 for 3 hours. BUT they gave suggestions on parking at K-Mart parking lot. Anyway, the cleanest restrooms available. Very, very nice people there, stream was great! Just a litlle closer than I normally like. Over all I liked it and would suggest it to others as long as they knew that. On a side note, it was right next to Pride Resort and I am glad I did not stay there. The pictures on the webite are nothing like the actual campground.
Nice Family orientated C.G. Clean rest rooms and showers. Nice level sites spaced apart about the right distance with out being on top of each other. A little loud at night with kids running around. I would recommend this C.G. to family's with children. If you want a quiet place to camp, then this isn't for you. About 30 minutes away from the Columbia Zoo. Management was very friendly. Nice trails down to the small river. Very pretty with the small lakes.
This has been by far the nices C.G. we have been to. I would recommend this place to anyone. Its in a perfect location too. Right between Black Mountain and Asheville. Chimney Rock and Mount Mitchell are close by also. Other C.G. owners should go here to see how it is done.
About 15 minutes out of Charleston. Sites were nice and wide. We were on a level concrete slab which made setup very easy. The bathrooms were not clean and smelled constantly of mothballs. Of the 4 toilets only 1 was not clogged. The showers were fine. Because the bath house was so bad, I couldn't recommend this camping site to anyone. My wife's gripe was that the brochure pictures are deceiving. Wireless is available for a daily fee. First place I have been to where they charged for wireless. Management was very friendly.
Bathrooms were unclean. No paper towels. Bathrooms were dirty and like something out of the old west. No locks on toilet doors and very old toilets. Daughter refused to go back to bathrooms. The sites were crammed in together, right on top of each other. The stream was nice and the fire pits (rocks in a circle) were nice. We wished we had gone back to Mama Gerties up the road. The wireless internet kept dropping out and we were only 1/2 way up the line of campers. They shouldn't even advertise that they have wireless. No cable. I would not recommend it to anyone.
