This campground was very overpriced for what it had to offer. We are sympathetic to the fact that the hurricane came a year ago, but a year is plenty of time for the grass to be cut, litter to be picked up around the sites and gravel to be poured on the roadway inside the park. This park would not accept the KOA discount card, due to the fact that the hurricane had done damage there, but again, a year is enough time for this reason as well. Nice enough staff; pool now in use. Mostly used by construction workers for weeks at a time now. We were not shown to our site and it was a confusing layout... one trailer is pointed in one direction and the next in the other... we will not stay here in the future.
Wonderful, quiet park for quick stayovers... racehorse training facility right on the premises! Big sites, easy for rigs to pull in and out. We pulled in late at night to a very friendly and helpful person to help get us checked in - excellent customer service! Will definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our lengthy stay here last winter and will do so again this year. Beautiful campground near Super Walmart (across the street!), downtown and lots of eating places! Main problem is internet access is very difficult - one computer with dial-up (too outdated for most!), that you have to share in a small room with 400 other sites - no wi-fi that we could tell. Lots of activities (music, bingo, cards) for all - mostly snowbirds here for the winter - very friendly, home-like atmosphere. Sites are on nice-sized lots - privacy and space from neighboring sites.
Wonderful family park with lots of activities... great store for groceries, not over-priced. We loved the on-site horse trail rides. We realize this was bike week, but even though we had reservations months ahead, we were placed in a "tent-sized" site, and our toy hauler was barely squeezed in! Thank goodness there was not a camper behind us to the back left, because we had a "catty-corner" back out up a hill - very poor parking area for our rig and very nerve-wracking. Customer service was excellent, however - we will definitely come back here, but will request specific sites next time around.
Although this was bike week, we felt this was a little overpriced for what it had to offer for bigger rigs. We had a toy hauler that just would not fit in the space they reserved for us. When we left out, the campers in a motor home had to move over so we could get out. Very poor parking and very nerve-wracking. ON a positive note: They did offer a free shuttle service to Deadwood (not Sturgis) which was convenient for part-time gamblers in nearby casino town! Customer service was fair - gave me a used postcard stamp when I purchased a new one - I know, I know, very trivial, but ... we will not be using these facilities again.
Beautiful park with easy access from interstate. Also easy to enter park/sites with a big rig. Parking/distance/privacy from neighboring campers was just perfect. The only problem I had was it became a major ordeal to use the internet (they are using new wireless service that didn't have the "kinks" worked out yet.) Very helpful/friendly customer service! We will definitely stay here again.
Beautiful park with easy access to wonderful Badlands National Park. Also easy to enter park/sites with a big rig. Parking/distance/privacy from neighboring campers was just perfect. They provided wonderful internet access free in their office. Very helpful/friendly customer service! We will definitely stay here on our next trip out west
Beautiful park with easy access from interstate. Also easy to enter park/sites with a big rig. Parking/distance/privacy from neighboring campers was just perfect. The only problem I had was it became a major ordeal to use the internet (room was either locked or computer down). Nice, clean swimming pool and great walking paths; friendly customer service! We will definitely stay here again.
