We stayed here when we were unable to find any openings at any of the state parks. The campground itself is very nice and well maintained, but the noise from the nearby 101 freeway is almost deafening. (They make you sign a paper stating you will not ask for a refund because of the noise). Because of the noise and the high price to stay here, we will not be back.
We stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was the closest place we could find to the coast that was still available. It's an older park and very dusty and dry. It also has a strong sewer smell in the early mornings. They also advertise pull through sites, but there are none. Not much to the place so I didn't feel I could give it anything higher than a five. It served its purpose but we will not be staying there again.
We pulled in after hours at this park and even though we had called ahead we were not left adequate information on where to park. We were told that cable service and wifi were available but neither worked. The park is brand new so it was nice and clean but after a hard days drive we found it a little disappointing. We would not stay here again.
This is a family friendly park that offers activities for both children and adults that included hay rides, a swimming pool and bingo. The staff was very friendly and the sites were large and well maintained. Another fun activity was picking wild blackberries that grow all around the park. The only reason we did not give this park a ten was that the laundry room was small and the wifi was inconsistent. We would stay here again.
This is a very family friendly park that provides beautiful scenery and wildlife. The night time meal was well prepared and the show was very entertaining. The only reason we did not give this a ten was that the laundry room only has two washing machines. We would stay here again.
The office staff was very helpful and this park was a nice place to stop after a long day driving. Parking and hookup was very easy and the sites were level. They also have a dog run that is well maintained. We would stay here again.
My wife and I only spent one night here but we were very happy with the management so I wanted to write a review. We had not planned on staying here but our travel trailer was hit by lightning earlier in the day during a freak storm (no I did not by a lottery ticket afterwards but I should have). Anyway, we needed a place to stay to get some repairs done to the necessities, fridge, lights, etc. The management was very helpful and even lent us their handyman who was a great help. We appreciate all their assistance and if we are ever back that way we plan to give them our business again.
My wife and I really enjoy this park. We have stayed here twice now and we plan to go back again. Both times we paid for the beach front space and have loved it! Our rear bay window faces the ocean and the sunset over the ocean is incredible. My daughter enjoys the freedom of being feet from the beach and we love to just watch the ocean for the occasional dolphin or sail boat that passes by. The close proximity to LAX is a very small issue and is hardly noticed, especially from inside our camper. I recommend this to anyone wishing to camp in the LA area.
My wife and I were not impressed with this park. The website makes it look like more than it truly is. Getting in and out was tight with our 29' travel trailer and there is not much room to maneuver around the park. When we first arrived the manager wanted to put us into a site that was obviously too small for our trailer. After physically showing it to him he agreed and moved us to another spot. This site was also cramped and not much to look at. I would have given a lower rating than I did but the park is within easy driving distance of Sea World and Legoland, which is why we were there so the convenience of that was worth something. We will not stay there again.
