Ok: there are two different parking options with this park. The first area is right off the paved street, has concrete pads and some spots have a view of Getaway Bay. No shade, no landscaping and close to freeway. These spots were $45 a night. The second option is the North park. This is accessed by a dirt road: however it is well used and our 45 ft motorhome had no problems. This area is back near the corn field with a small stream on one side. This is where we stayed, mainly because it was further from the freeway. These are level, gravel sites and there were more RV's parked in this area. The price for these sites was $37 (both prices reflect the good sam discount). Pull through sites easily accommodated our 45 ft RV with toad. Owners are friendly and nice. Would stay here again. Verizon mi-if worked great. Located close to restaurants and a Target.
This is the very first KOA campground. We were shocked when we called for a reservation and told the pull-throughs were $75 a night, however after researching multiple options, a back-in site would fit our needs for 62.00 a night. The campground is impeccably maintained with gorgeous concrete patios at most sites, and roads are all asphalt. Very kid friendly and beautifully landscaped, but larger trees can block satellite reception. However, the roads are narrow and I had difficulty backing into our site. I watched other big rigs struggle maneuvering around the park as expected for a very old KOA. Convenient and quiet, close to interstate, but whew...those prices!!!!
This a great one night stop on your way to Canada. Sites were gravel and level, with nice views of the plains. Owners were friendly, chatty and helpful giving us advice about travel into Canada and local eateries. We fit easily in our 45 foot motorhome towing a car. Five bars of AT&T cellphone service and Verizon MiFi works great. Would definitely stay here again as a no frills stop, but safe, quiet and friendly.
This was a surprise! Lovely campground, level sites, very well maintained. Wonderful amenities for kids...a very large park. Big rig friendly...we easily managed a 45 ft rv. Just off of 380, but not not much road noise, would absolutely stay here again, great value for money!
The owners were very friendly! Park access was good but tight in one spot (we have a 45 ft. motorhome plus toad). Camp owners will have fixed by next season. Easy access to lakeside and boat ramp. Beautiful sunsets on the lake...close to charming villages on the lake and Watertown which had all major stores. As compared to the many very small and old campgrounds in the area we were quite pleased to find this park. Future plans include additional pull throughs with new 50 amps. There were some seasonal park models but all were very nice. Definitely would recommend this park and stay here again.
Stayed here for 5 nights visiting friends. Older senior adult park with mostly permanent residents. Construction on the main road where we entered made access difficult, however it looked like it should be done in a couple of months. Very friendly staff and helpful in backing into a tight, but doable spot in our 45 ft. motorhome between two permanent spots. Larger pull through sites were available at a higher rate. We found the laundry facilities very clean. We would stay here again.
Found all the other comments were accurate, however there were two things missed. To the positive, they have an absolutely gorgeous indoor heated swimming pool. To the negative, no one seemed to mention the nearby train tracks that had trains running all night, as well as it's close proximity to I-10. Lastly, found the staff very friendly.
