Beware--there are only 2 sites with sewer, but there is a dump station. The area is beautiful, the sites are huge, and some have shelters over the picnic tables. All the sites are concrete. The pluses are huge. But, the general park could sure use some cleaning up-- downed trees, dead trees, dead brush. It could be so much prettier. Keep in mind that the lake is 10-15 feet low. The boat ramps, fishing piers, and canoes are unusable. We were there for 3 weeks for business. Sulphur Springs is really cute and 25 minutes away. The Crump Family Vineyard is excellent and serves meals.
For what it is, it's great! Very clean, meticulous care, small, and quiet. There is a train, but only twice while we were there and not at night. The pads are concrete, there is WiFi and cable TV, and the owner is very nice and helpful. There's nothing for kids, and no pool, but those things aren't important to us. We would certainly stop here again. Beware of other parks in the area!!
This is the 2nd worst RV park I have ever camped in. It is unkempt, interior roads very poor, and a filthy office. The owners were nice, but that was the only redeeming feature. There is a small, clean pool. There had been no care of the weeds, the gravel, or any maintenance whatsoever. I cannot stress enough that I would not recommend this place. There is a very nice park just north on Hwy 45 that we enjoyed very much.
