Keen Lake was a nice campground. It was quiet at night which is one of our favorite things. The activities for the kids were plentiful and fun. The pool was VERY crowded, but clean. The lake is gorgeous, and the boating was nice. We will probably go back here.

We chose this park because we had had good experiences with Yogi parks in the past. This park has a long way to go to be a great experience. The management is very friendly and helpful. They truly want to be a great campground and are willing to work hard toward that end. But it will be a long time to get there. The pool decking is cracked and old. The mini-golf course is leaf covered and terribly unlevel. The game room is full of claw games and nothing else. The bathrooms look old and have peeling wallpaper. And that's just the facilities. We encountered nature in a whole new way at this park. A skunk visited our site daily and made himself at home under our camper. And then there was the bear. Yes, a bear. It walked right past our camper on its way through the park. The atmosphere was very friendly and the activities for the kids were fun, but it will be a long time before we consider going back.

We really enjoyed our visit to Big Timber Lake. We were there in mid-June which is before the busy season. The park felt very spacious, and most of the sites around us were empty which was nice. Our site was larger than most that we've encountered. It was level and partly shaded with lots of greenery around. The sites are more sand than grass which is my only complaint. If they would put in cement pads, I'd never stay anywhere else ever :-) The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - even moving us to a different site when we showed up with a camper that needed sewer instead of the pop-up we had originally planned to take. The activities for the kids were lots of fun. The pool was clean, but there are no lounge chairs, so bring your own. The bathhouse was very clean and air-conditioned. I love our little bathroom in our camper, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here without one since theirs are so nice. The mosquitoes are a problem. But lots of bug spray took care of them. There are a lot of seasonals at BTL, but they were very friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back to Big Timber Lake!!

We choose Cherry Hill based on all the positive reviews. Perhaps we have different standards than other campers, but we were not impressed. The staff was cold and not helpful. There were no activities for children other than the pool and playgrounds. The pools were very nice, and the playground was a hit with the kids but that's where our satisfaction ended. The whole park felt like a motor home parking lot. There were few trees and very little grass, but gravel was everywhere. The other campers parked their motor homes and disappeared. We like to camp where people make camp fires and eat outside and enjoy meeting new people. That was totally not the case at Cherry Hill. No one wanted to be outside. It was like a giant outdoor hotel where everyone stays in their rooms and only comes out if absolutely necessary. And the campground is VERY close to 95. We had a very hard time sleeping at night due to the traffic noise. Even our fan noise and closed windows couldn't keep out the noise of semis flying down 95. The proximity to Washington D.C. was nice, but we won't be back here.
