Oak shores is a laid back campground. Lots of children. We have been here twice and going back again in July. The only negative I could say is there was a lack of enforcement on the rules of quiet time. But all in all we enjoyed both of our stays. It is on a lake which is handy if you like to fish. There are no cement pads so remember some blocks for leveling. You can have either very shady sites or sun sites depending on your preference.
The staff here are awesome. So friendly and helpful. We have stayed a few different times in 2008 and plan to be back this year. The clubhouse is "one of a kind". They welcome travel trailers. This is not one of those parks that sticks their nose up if you're not a class A. Fishing is ok. Golf carts are good to have but great exercise on bikes. They do offer specials which does help with today's economy.
This being a brand new resort is only the beginning of how beautiful it will be. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing and the playground(even though we had no children) was awesome. I myself gave it try when no children were around. It is a great place to ride bikes the pool is decent size for the amount of sites. The sites I can not say enough about. Level, cement, patio and cement fire rig (safety!!). The staff was very polite and friendly. This will be one of our regular campsites for now. I don't want to share my site number cause I believe it was the best and want it every time I go(sorry). Even being right across from Michigan Adventure there was no noise problem. I wish them much luck and can't wait to see what they are adding cause we like to fish!!!
