Nice park that is easy on, easy off the Interstate but far enough away to be quiet. Long, level pull-through spots available. Lot of shade (did give us a problem with our roof mounted dish, but they had offered me another spot further in that had a clear shot to the southwest). Local TV channels are "reachable" for a digital antenna. Small but nice pool. All in all, an enjoyable overnight location that I would have stayed longer if we would have had the opportunity if for nothing else, just to kick back and relax. We will stay here again if we are ever back in the area.
Typical KOA and nothing we found was unexpected but we needed a place to stop for the night. Difficult to find the entrance (tons of construction going on on I-30 so the exits are not well marked, the lanes are narrow, the turns are tight) and just a difficult to get out of because of the preceding. Sites are OK if you get one you can get into, get unhooked and somewhat level. The facilities looked good and the park was neat and well maintained. The staff was "lukewarm" but not unfriendly. Wi-Fi for us was unusable even though I could "see" the connection, I could not use it. Again, I usually try to avoid KOAs now as you never know what you are going to get anymore, but we were tired and didn't want to go further that day. We won't be back.
The park is still recovering from a round of river floods and the section we stayed in (backing up to the Mississippi river) had just been reopened. It was us and one other unit out there for the evening. The park probably has a lot of potential once they get it straightened out, but as it was, we were not impressed. They are working hard to clean it up though. Our dog did not like the "smell" of the land around the sight, guess it smelled too much like the muddy Mississippi for her. We had to take to another location in the park away from where we were parked to do her business and then we got attacked by mosquitoes (not unexpected due to the standing water in the area). Doubt that we will be back if we are ever in this area again unless we know for sure it hasn't flooded for a long time prior.
Overnight stop on our way out of Indiana. Easy in, easy out, close to truck stops and I-65. Has good pull through spots, would have stayed longer to rest up if time was available. Yes, traffic noise from I-65 is somewhat distracting, but with the ACs on, I never really noticed. The staff was very friendly. If we ever have the need, we would stay again.
Needed a place to unwind after a lot of travel related site seeing on the way to Goshen (ended up staying for 4 days). New owners (since January) are very friendly. Very clean park that covers a huge area. Great place just to "chill". Spots are long, and you have decent "front yards". The actual spots are a little narrow, but you are not crowded next to your neighbor. The owners stated they have a lot of plans to improve things in the park, and as winter has left the area, I saw some of the improvements happening. Easy on and off I-69, but call the park if you are not familiar with the area. They do have good signage to help you find the place, but the exits from I-69 can be a bit confusing. If we are ever back in the area of Indy, we will definitely stay there again. Passport America honored for one night; Escapees and I suspect other discounts, but I didn't ask.
The owners were great, the park, not so much. Getting to our spot was a challenge on a downhill, twisty gravel road weaving in-between trees. The spot was not level and even with hydraulic levelers, I had to put blocks under one side to get close to level and add a step stool to reach the bottom step of our entry door. Our original reserved spot wasn't empty when we arrived, so I agreed to take another, without sewer, and would move when the original spot emptied, but after setting up, I told the owners I would stay put.. I have decent size holding tanks and they were empty when I arrived. It is a nice, quiet park, located so you can reach everything there is to do in the area easily. But the un-level sites, the difficulty reaching some sites, over shadowed the good points. Too many low hanging tree branches to avoid on the exit as well. The bathrooms are clean and well set up, the camp store was basically bare shelves, but there are plenty of stores close by if needed. We stayed for 4 nights regardless as we wanted to see friends in the area and travel some of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and there is a dearth of RV parks in the area. I doubt that we will stay here again.
Passport America (unlimited stay) park. Very clean park, friendly folks in the office. They originally had me in a pull-through that would have been difficult to get into because of it's location and offered me a back in "double" spot with a "lake" (actually a big pond) view. I took it and like the fact that I could park my truck on the empty slab next to the trailer. Some of the pull through sites are kind of tight (basically your awning will come close to touching your neighbor), but they have recognized that in most of them and you get two spots for the same price as one. Good water pressure, excellent power. All in all a nice place to stay. We stayed for two weeks. Easy access off of I-37 and about 10 minutes from downtown. We will stay here again.
Friendly folks running the park, well laid out, sites are not on top of each other. They first tried to put me in a smaller spot, but when I couldn't get in because of a tree blocked my 5er door, they moved me to a larger spot with no hesitation. Good location that makes easy access to town. Only stayed one night on the way north, it was an enjoyable stay and we will be back.
Typical KOA. Sites are stacked on top of each other.. not where close to level. First site they tried to put me in would have had my truck either sticking out in the road or nose down about 10 degrees... asked to move to a more level site and while they did, they were not to happy to do so.. won't be back
Beautiful secluded park. Sites are well laid out and easy to access. But for this price, no Wi-Fi, no cable, extra charge for guest per day, extra charge to fish, office closes early and opens late. FMCA discount only. Not our cup of tea, but it is a nice park, just a little expensive for what you get.
Extremely nice folks running the park, well equipped store, small snack bar open on weekends off season for breakfast and lunch (plus ice cream parlor).. very family oriented (even tho we didn't have any with us). Sites are a little close together but not enough to bother us.. would have liked cable as TV reception is practically non-existent.. but with so much to do and see in the area, again this is not a show stopper... We stayed for 7 days and the park was empty during the week but filled up quickly on Friday night.. we were in town on business but will return and stay here again when we do.
