Rate reflects Passport America discount. This campground is catered more for the Sturgis Rally. The reason I said that is there is hardly any other campers there except us and 4 or 5 other campers. The layout of the campground is packed tight like sardines. The restroom is decent either real clean or dirty (which is why I rated it so). The exterior of the bathroom has lots of cobwebs and the interior is OK though it said it is cleaned daily (probably during the Sturgis Rally). The playground is small. It said it has a river but it is more like a small stream or big creek. Don't expect any Wi-Fi signal unless you are next or close to the office. This is a self check-in campground so do not expect any staff to assist you. However, you can reach the host or owner via phone (though he is just in the office but strictly no trespassing as stated by the sign).
Rate reflects Passport America. The campground is very quiet and peaceful this time of the year. We were the only one there during the weekdays. The restroom next to our site has bugs which why I rated it so. The campground is family friendly. There is a pool although it is more like a water park and not included in the price of camping. But it is not expensive to get and it is well worth it. The water park has slides, hot tub, sauna etc. The water is naturally heated so it is really nice. The downside to this place is it does not have sewer, but there is a dump station in Downey.
Rate reflects Passport America rate. The entrance of the campground is nice. But once you entered it you will notice it is just a huge parking lot (gravel with no picnic tables or fire rings) where you can park your RV with hookups. Also, the site is packed pretty close to one another. It is next to an industrial area, really nothing much to see or view per se. The nature walk is a let down.
Rate reflects PA discount (valid for 2 nights). This is a decent campground. It has concrete pad to park your RV, picnic table. Staff is friendly. It is a nice place to stop and rest when traveling through I-80. We decided to stop at this background, because of the good reviews and given that the other campgrounds along I-80 are just OK.
The Wi-Fi is good and there are many available connections. The campground is pretty empty and mostly senior citizens. The campground has a pool, hot tub, a playground. But I do not think it is family or kid friendly, as the host appears to not like kids very much. Also, they charged additional $4 per person per night even for children, which seems excessive to me. This is a place more for couples than family in my opinion.
The host is friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi is OK, kind of slow. The laundry room is really clean and well maintained. The campground is actually called R & R Campground and it is adjacent to Super 8 Motel and campers have access to use the outdoor pool. The campground is next to railroad track, but the trains only come during the day so it is a non issue with us.
Overall the campground needs a clean up. It is not dirty just not tidy. The pool is cloudy and needs maintenance, so are the 2 hot tubs. Sites are gravel and not level, no shade. We stayed here over a week (back-in sites) and were then told to move to another site as someone has reserved the site they have allotted to us. Also, the Wi-Fi was weird, have to reload the pages many times.
