We were disappointed in this campground. The only sites with trees were on the edge of the property or the group spots. Also, there was a large road nearby with truck noise. It truly feels like we are in a parking lot. I'm sure the amenities are nice, but my husband and I wanted to "get away" for the weekend. Instead it feels as if we are more in the middle of a city. We will be leaving early.
Beautiful campground. Clean restrooms with lots of hot water. Electric only, no sewer or water. Sites are large and treed. Lake is very pretty and can be seen from many of the lots. Games are available at front desk. Kids played bean bag toss all morning. I would give this campground a 10, but for the lack of sewer and water.
Nice KOA experience. Clean, large, wooded sites. All amenities. Kids said pool was warm but small. No fire pits where we were. Fantastic view. Even if there was no view, it's still a nice campground. Bathrooms and showers were older and in need of a makeover, but clean with lots of hot water. Tent sites were remote and beautiful. No traffic noise at all. Kids got a hoot out of watching Close Encounters. Only true complaint is that there are a lot of bikers camping here. A group left at 7 am: waking up the dead. Then at 7:15, the staff began driving around with their buggies. At 7:30, an ice-semi circled the entire camp so it could back up to the main office. Due to this and the age, I'm rating it about a 7.5.
If you're looking for the camping experience, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a nice base camp for your family, KOA is perfect. We had never been to one before and were hesitant. We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities available. The pool was clean and large. They had game such as volley ball and bocce ball available for the asking. The staff was wonderful. Even my teens were impressed. All facilities were clean and modern. A caveat: ask for a treed spot when making reservations. The lots can be small and many are un-treed. Also, lampposts stay on all night, so an eye mask helps if you're in a tent. It's very quiet and relaxing with a great camp store. Will stay here again.
Beautiful!! Clean bathrooms. Hot showers. Decent camp store. Big lots. All in a quiet, lovely setting. We arrived after 10 pm exhausted and cranky. The staff came out to meet us and said to grab any spot for the night. There was a large area of spacious pull throughs that we used. The next morning we saw that we were camped by a beautiful river. The staff actually apologized about the "small" sites, but said we looked like we just wanted the first available. I was then given complementary coffee and invited to sit in the spacious common area that contained a big screen TV, comfy couches and exercise equipment. The kids enjoyed the game room, too. We will definitely be back!
I can't understand all the great reviews about this park. Yes, it had shade, clean bathrooms and plenty of hot water the laundry facilities looked nice. The park was very quiet. Now for the bad: the seasonal folks are a mixture of 100k motorhomes and trashy trailers. 30/40 year old campers up in blocks surrounded by trash. We were first put in a miniscule pull through next to what can only be called hillbilly heaven. Their sewage was leaking. They had car parts everywhere. There were at least four vehicles crammed in the spot. We asked to move due to the smell. The next spot was better but again along side a dumpy camper on blocks surrounded by trash. There was constant freeway noise, but not so much you couldn't sleep. The camp store was merely a couple of shelves and a freezer. The sites were incredibly small. We would not stay again.
