Very beautiful park with spacious sites, reasonably level. Quiet and peaceful with many walking trails. Convenient to services in Ruston. We were here only for one night but would definitely like to return for a longer stay.
As previous posters have remarked, the only pluses for this park are the pet run, one of the nicest we've seen anywhere, and the friendly hosts. By no stretch of the imagination could this be called a 'resort.'
This is a beautiful park. Sites are large, easy to get in and out. Bathhouses are kept spotless. Convenient to shopping with any kind of services one might need within a mile and a half, yet you feel as though you are a million miles from civilization. Park has wonderful hiking and biking trails. We felt very fortunate to get into this park during Spring Break. Apparently, it stays very busy, with good reason. Any time we happen to be in the Tucson area, we will definitely come back.
This is one of our favorite campgrounds. It is most appropriate for those who truly enjoy the outdoor experience, not for those who are expecting to be entertained nonstop. It is very quiet, beautiful, clean and well maintained. Woodsmoke is an excellent value for the area, approximately one half the cost of the closest KOA campground.
