Camped here on a recommendation. WONDERFUL place; period. Near Homosssa Springs. Plenty to do here. Airboat rides, great seafood, shops, etc. Stayed a week; next time a month. Area can be COLD in January or February as you are 75 miles north of Tampa off route 19. Visit Cody's RoadHouse in Crystal River for great ribs/steaks, etc. Unique place. The "Freezer" in Homosassa is THE PLACE for seafood. All locals eat there. As the Terminator said "I be bock." Go there; run; enjoy.
One of the nicest RV spots I have ever stayed at. Quiet; beautiful rolling hills; 2 lakes; fishing; horses on premises; gated and secure. Family friendly. Planned seasonal activities. HUGE RV sites; trees; streams; serenity. Has annual lease sites so depending on month of visit, some RV's appear "stored". They are not. Separate storage area, out of sight. Beautiful lodge and pool. Site of many, many weddings. DAHLONEGA, GA, 6 miles away. Touristy area. Bring your RV and try it out !
Stopped overnight on way to Destin from Atlanta. Gravel lot; slightly uneven. Easy in and out. Friendly management. Remained hooked up to tow vehicle. Some road noise all night. Did not use sewer hook up. All services were easily accessible; if desired. Free cable TV. CHEAP: would use again on a travel stop over.
Confirming what others have already stated. Just returned from 8 days camping. Would definitely use the facilities again. VERY clean property all the way. VERY quiet after dark. VERY convenient to beaches, shops, restaurants and malls. (Huge outlet mall 1 mile away.) Bicycle paths everywhere. Has an atypical resort host. Friendly, concerned and not in your space. I ran over the manicured grass backing my new 36 ft fifth wheel and he was right there and not upset. Try this park. You'll like it.
