This park has a great location and is right on the beach, which is perfect if you have a ocean front space, the rest of the sites are in rows that are extremely close together. The spaces are not angled which can be problematic for fifth wheels trying to back in. If you're traveling with a family, kids, bikes, etc. and don't mind being within a few feet of your fellow campers, you'll probably be fine, but if you want a little privacy or seclusion this beach will not suit you. It is a nice beach and the proximity to town is quite close and walkable but $67 for a small and crowded parking space seems a bit much.
This was a nice park (especially if you have bikes and are interested in water sports or have children). The sites are small, but private and very quiet. The showers in our loop weren't working but the others were near by. There are nice bridges and walkways out near the water and we were able to view an alligator over one of the bridges.
This park was highly recommended to us and on the drive in, we thought we were in heaven, beautiful beaches just lovely. The staff member was not very friendly and scoffed when I asked if they might have had any cancellations in Loop A (we've been quite lucky in scoring great spots because someone else canceled). We were in Loop E. We have traveled from California and love all the state parks but this was sorely disappointing. The campsites are just back-ins on the lawn, all on top of one another and really nothing special. The showers were a flooded mess, probably because the shower head (not adjustable) shoots beyond the shower pan. We really wanted to like this, but didn't.
This park is quite nice if you want a good place to park and lay low. All of the sites are on concrete and the park is well maintained. We were very fortunate there was a site on the water that was available. Those sites have grassy areas, private decks and wonderful views, but most of the sites are not like that, so for $59 (the non-water sites), all you're really getting is a nice clean place to park with a pool. The park is great for bike riding because it's paved.
Very nice park with large spacious campsites. The way the sites are set up is great because you don't feel like anyone's right on top of you. We were not able to connect into their internet from our site but the staff pretty much explained that when we checked in.
This is a cool RV Park! Not much on the amenities scale but it's right on the Mississippi River and Aimee, and the reservation lady is great! She promised to get us a good site and called me every day to give me an update. Due to a cancellation, we were able to stay in the first row on the river for four nights! The showers/bath are singles but clean and well maintained. There is a tiny laundry area (2 washers and 2 dryers) and they are free! No complaints here, we'd stay again in a heartbeat!
