This is not an easy campground to find. Location is pretty far from any major attraction. Make sure to check in during normal business hours. Check in after hours is hard to contact anyone for. Some sites are hard to back into with larger units. Great for a peaceful getaway, but 30 minutes to 1.5 hour commute to major attractions. Country store is great. Very secure campground with gates for coming and going. Golf cart and cabin rentals are available.
Campground is located in a good location. State law enforcement presence is high due to this being a state park. Rules are strickly enforced. Breakers in campground trip frequently if ac units are in use. Very few sites with sewer hookup.
This is a new RV park and will have shade in a few years after the trees mature. Campsites range in price from $38.00 and up. All pads are concrete and are very large. The owners are great to deal with and own hotel across street. This gives you the opportunity to take time out in the swimming pools and hot tubs in hotel. Sewer hook up is not in a good location so make sure you bring at least 20' of hose. There is no children's playground as of yet, but I have been told that one is possibly coming. Great location to shopping and a trolley stop is across the street at hotel. Some views are better than others in campground, but whole campground can be seen from any site. There are no permanent sites available at this time. Garbage pick up is in the am at each site. Leave trash by road. All in all this is a good campground, but keep in mind that they charge extra per person and child after the first two adults. This may discourage some family camping with families that have children. After age six a fee is added. Also, per campground rules you are not suppose to have clothesline hanging so this can be a problem after visiting the pools or local water parks. Quiet time is 11pm.
