What a wonderful Florida State Park! It has been fully reopened since the damage done by Hurricane Dennis. 50 amp available. Very quiet area, 5 miles into the state park on a barrier island. Nice playground. Hiking trails from the campground and a short walk to a beautiful, quiet, empty beach on the gulf side. It is about 12 miles to Apalachicola. Clean, nice bathhouses. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect overnight stop near I-5, but away from the road noise and railroad. Large park, easy access for bigger rigs. Backs up to a dike walking/running path which extends at least 2.5 miles along the Coweeman River; perfect for dog walks. Clean laundry room. Very spacious sites with large green spaces between rigs. We would definitely stay here again.
We left a loud (road noise) RV park on Hwy 101 in Port Angeles and were concerned that we might encounter the same situation here. No such problem. 101 is a much slower and less traveled road in Forks and we took spot 46 in the rear of the park, well away from the Highway. All the spots towards the rear are pull throughs with plenty of swing room and no obstructions. Sites are very generously wide; room for awning and another rig between each spot. Even in the rear of the park, we had good, fast access to WiFi. Good access to Olympic Natl Park (Hoh Rainforest, Sol Duc Hot Springs, and Rialto beach are all easy drives.) The owner/operators were very frendly and helpful. There is a relatively large book exchange.
Quiet, wooded park-like setting with a great playground. Plenty of manuevering room and long pull-thrus. Wi-fi was available for a fee. Hiking trails available. Only minutes to Bothell town center, and the local Saturday Farmer's market is just up the hill. Good jumping off place for Seattle tourism. Very clean park and attentive staff. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We stayed for 5 nights.
This park is a beautiful setting, with lots of tall old growth trees. It is in a quiet location minutes from Mount Ranier Natl Park. Big sites with fire rings. All back in sites, we found some challenging with the number of trees. Level sites and very attentive owners made this one of our favorite parks yet.
Friendly owner/staff and free hi-speed wifi bring this rating up. The park is right on busy Hwy 101 and is quite noisy. No room in between sites (unable to even put out awning.) Sites are unlevel. Only 10 minutes on 101 to reach Port Angeles/Ferry to BC.
