Was easy to find, right off I-10. We were looking for a place to spend the night on our way home to FL and this fit the bill. Got a pull through site near the office with easy exit. Did not have to unhook the toad. Site was gravel and pretty level.
This was our second Thousand Trails stay. We received our membership to TT when we bought our RV. The staff is very friendly, and the place was clean. While we were there someone backed into a water hookup and the girl that fixed it was very nice about it, there were a bunch of people that offered to help. The kids loved looking for fossils in the river (which was very low this time of the year) the pool area was clean and inviting. We will be using this and the Orlando TT a lot during the spring and summer as it makes a nice long weekend campground that is easy to get to. The site we were on was near the road, but with the A/C running you could not hear any road noise. The sites down by the river do not have sewer, but they are still nice sites. Like some other reviewers said the roads could use some work, but the site we were on had a brand new picnic table on a concrete slab.
We stayed here for 3 days with friends and loved it. It was our first trip in our new RV. You can't get any closer to the beach than this campground. There are a lot of permanent trailers, but the sites are big, and most of them have gazebos. Our friends have stayed here 4 times and love it. The pool was clean, and the kids had a great time going from the beach to the pool. We definitely will be going back here soon!
We stayed here for an overnight stop. The sites are gravel, but pretty level. The staff was very friendly, and a local sheriff lives on the grounds. Like the name says most of the sites are under large oak trees, so plenty of shade. The cable TV was working great, lots of channels. It looked like they were doing work on some of the sites so they must be working to make the place better. It is about 4.5 hours from the house so we might go back again.
We stayed here for an overnight stop. The kids liked the pool. The place was clean, and well maintained. Someone mentioned the train that runs by the place slow, it went by around 7:30am and we were already awake so it did not bother us. It is close the I20 and easy to get to. They gave us free breakfast at the casino (but we did not use it) Cable TV was good. WIFI is only in the office, but she said they are working on adding it to the rest of the site. We would stop here again if we needed to.
