We love this National Forest Campground and the view of the mountains from the open field, etc. The bathrooms are old, but clean. The tenting sites on the mountain are great. We always come back to Dolly Copp to hike her mountains. The office people are very short with you and not very helpful. You better have your ducks in a row, or you will get yelled at! They need new people in the office. It is such a beautiful place. Would have given this campground a 10, but for the people that run the campground.
This campground had good electric, and Wi-Fi, and cable. The sites are a little close together, but most of your sites are in view of the lake. Good hot showers, although the showers could be a little cleaner. The owner was fairly nice, until you disagree with her, or question her about the rates, etc. We booked the site for a week, and the very next day my husband saw a worker purposely run over two baby ducks, so we decided this was not a place where we wanted to stay.
I gave this county fairgrounds a 4 star rating because the sites were very nice, we had a view of the lake, and there was an excellent bike trail right behind us. The sites are level and the electric is great. This county fairground has a lot of sites to pick from, but we loved the sites with the view of the lake. The caretakers are very nice and very helpful. We would return here to this county fairground campground.
We stopped at this National Forest Campground, on our way to Bar Harbor Maine. The campground is beautiful. The campground is mainly for tents, but there were some rvs. We had a reservation for, Brook Loop, very nice area for tents.Large sites, and the restroom was not far away. Clean restrooms. The only negative thing we would say, is about the elderly lady that checked us in, at the little office. As we said we had a reservation, and she gave us such a hard time, and was so mean. What a way to start our vacation. We thought someone working in such a beautiful place , would be pleasant. Their is a ranger station down the road from the campground, we stopped in there for some information, and we had some question about the area. The ranger was very nice, and answered all our questions about trails, and driving to the top of Mt. Washington. We did say something about the elderly lady at the office of the campground. The ranger said she would pass the information on. Don't know if we would come back, if we would she the elderly lady in the office, we would turn around and go to another campground in the White Mountains.
We love this campground. The owners are very helpful and very easy to talk to. There are wonderful views of the mountains, and you are very close to so many great hiking trails. They are very close to the AT trail going to Maine. This campground has a beautiful hostel, and a lot of hikers use it on their way north to Maine and south to Georgia. White Birches, is animal friendly, and also lets dogs in their hostel with the hikers. Nice flat pull through sites, and very nice wooded tent sites. The campground has events, like pot lucks, etc. All the campers are very nice. We prefer White Birches Camping Park to any other campground north in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
This was a good campground for overnight camping. Easy off the interstate and easy on the interstate. We had free cable TV, the sites were level. The Wi-Fi wasn't free, if you wanted the internet you had to pay. I think they should state that in the Travel Life guide. The campground has a lot of people living here full time.
This is a very nice campground. Real easy to get into, and out of the sites. Close to all the attractions. The two things we didn't like was unclean, fire pits, and a lot of cigerettes in the camp fire ring. They should have a traffic light at the entrance. The campground was very quiet.
This is a very nice campground. The campsites are gravel, but level, and are all pull-throughs. Very clean showers, and bathrooms. The staff is very nice and helpful. This campground is very close to Mammoth Cave, and very close to the interstate. We would camp here again. I have to say, there is a train that come through every so often. That is why we didn't give this campground a 10.
I rated this campground a 2,there was something wrong with the water, it was very rusty, and smelled bad. The bathroom were very dirty and also smelled bad. I'm glad we had our trailer to shower in. The Wi-Fi cost $4.99 for 24 hours, the signal was very low, and the time was only 21 hours. The only good thing about this campground was that we could pick up satellite TV. Will not stop here again.
Very nice campground, the sites are paved and level, the staff was very nice, the showers were very clean, and the bathrooms were very clean. I would have given this campground a 10 rating, but there was a train that came thru the back of the campground about every half an hour.
We stayed here in the off season. I was glad; it looked like there would have been a lot of people with all the permanent housing. The lake was beautiful from the site. The site was paved and very nice. The bathrooms weren't clean, and the laundry room, I cleaned up. Because of the lake we would stop here again. The wi-fi was very good, too, and it was free, and so was the cable.
What a great state park! All the RV sites were paved and pull throughs. What a great campground to ride your bicycle in; they had a bike path to Lake Erie. What a great campground. The bathrooms were clean, etc. We'll go back anytime.
