This is our second stay at PS RV Park, check in was a breeze, we requested a spot near the pool, which we got. Site was clean and well maintained. If there was a drawback I would have to say they maybe need to adjust the lawn sprinkers, when we woke up one morning our windows were wet. Normally I wouldn't complain, but I spent the better part of an hour cleaning the outside windows the day before! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!
We've been camping in Pismo Beach for over 40 years. When we bought our 38' 5th wheel, the State campground wasn't so appealing any more. We tried Pismo Coast Village, but the sites were very tight and we had one of their bigger sites. We REALLY enjoyed our stay at Pismo Sands RV. We can't wait to go back and camp in the newly remodeled section, although our site #97 was fine. Staff are so nice and accomodating. We loved the evening spa visit. Although we were camping solo this trip, knowing that we can camp side by side with friends is very appealing. We had perfectly wonderful weather and it was an all around good trip. Will definitely come back to this campground.
This was a very busy campground. The campground is beautiful, the staff professional and helpful. Check in was fast, and no fee for early check in, if space is available. Nice shade trees and grass. Unfortunately, there was a huge family reunion going on in the sites around us. KOA allowed tents in the RV site next to us, and our grass area was now their grass area. We felt very uncomfortable sitting outside of our 5th wheel because their tents were right up against our grass facing our space with their chairs and trash on our grass. Hard to complain to KOA when there are 50+ people who would know we complained.
I agree with the last two reviews. The park is very big rig friendly. We camped in site 28 and had a beautiful view of the trees and green grass beltway. The lake is beautiful. It's unfortunate that maintenance is so lacking. Grass is not being mowed, picnic tables covered with bird droppings, with concrete pads very cracked and uneven. Outside light posts do not work. There are several full time residents that live for free and apparently are suppose to do maintenance, but I don't see it. Our weekend had beautiful weather, all hook ups worked fine. It is a shame to spend $45 a night and not really see the place maintained.
This was one of the best RV Resorts we have ever been to. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a premium site because we pull a 38' fiver and it was easy to get in and out. The amenities are wonderful. Salt water pool was a perfect 80 degrees and the individual (2 person) mineral spas were a treat! We enjoyed the Thursday night wine tasting. This would be a great place for a family reunion. Very kid friendly with the catch and release fishing pond. But not loud and out of control! The town of Borrego Springs is small and quaint, not a lot going on, but the Friday morning farmers market was nice. We ate lunch one day at Carlee's restaurant: the burgers were delicious!
This campground is an hour away from our house and we've camped here twice for a quick weekend away. Very close to the Reagan Library and town. Can get really windy at times, and there is not a lot of shade, but it's very quiet and the camp hosts are friendly. A little hint: On line reservations must be made 30 days in advance. But if the campground is not full, you can drive in and still get a spot. This also saves the $10 on line booking fee. Ventura has some very beautiful full hookup campgrounds. This is one of them!
Held a family reunion at this campground (50+ people). Half of us were camping in RVs, half in tents. Staff at park were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, there were no picnic tables at any of the campsites we were in. Hard to have meals together. Street noise was annoying, but surprisingly the train wasn't that bad. Kids enjoyed the pool. I was told the restrooms were pretty seedy. Had a problem with our sewer not draining, and maintenance came right away to try and fix it. There are several full time residents in the area we were camped, very friendly and let us use their picnic tables.
We were only planning on staying at this resort for two nights, but decided to stay an additional 4 nights and use it as our base camp. Facility is very clean and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and professional. Park offered a 4th of July dinner free to their guests. The only negative is they ran out of tri tip sandwiches and we were served hot dogs. Great place to stay over the 4th because the City puts on a great fireworks show right across the street in the park, which you can see perfectly from the resort. Resort also went all out and hired a great DJ. Holiday was very festive. Great pool area and rec room. Several doggie areas and resort provides doodie bags. Grassy areas are watered every night, so you should not leave anything out because it will get wet. VERY hot in July compared to the coast 20+ degree change in temp, but the evenings are pleasant and there is a nice breeze. We took several day trips to Morro Bay, Monterey, Pismo Beach and Lake Lopez. New water park being constructed right across the street.
