This is a very clean park, big sites; each site surrounded by heavy foliage, private. There is moderate noise from aircraft flying overhead; over the air TV reception very poor. When we registered we were given a password to access Wi-Fi, but were not able to connect and stay connected. We were parked across the street from the Wi-Fi tower and signal meter showed full strength, but we were unable to connect with either of our laptops. We spoke to the girl in the registration office to ask if perhaps they could check into it. We suggested they reboot the server to try to fix the problem but she didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. It's a gorgeous park. No one else camping in the park who we talked to was able to connect. It's pretty, but noisy due to air traffic from surrounding Navy and Air Force bases close by. We chose the park because my husband does consulting and we needed to be able to access email. We had to go to Barnes and Noble and Panera Bread in town to be able to. Ordinarily would not be a big deal if they had not told us they had wifi available when we called to ask. We would not stay here again.
Nothing more than a gravel parking lot with not even enough room between sites to put out our awning without touching rig next door. We have never camped in such a cramped RV park. We estimate that the spaces are not more than 12' wide. Very poor Wi-Fi. Owner/managers could care less. Would not stay here again.
We spent 3 nights in this campground. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and showers were immaculate. Had a moose with 2 calves roaming through the campground every evening. Wildflowers blooming everywhere. We would definitely camp here again.
Very clean park. Level gravel sites with picnic table, fire ring at each site and some trees. Could not access Wi-Fi. Went to the office where the owner tried as well without success. Finally a young female employee came in and was able to get my laptop connected. My husband never was able to connect with is laptop so he gave up. The network key given to us didn't work for either of us. Have no idea how the young girl employee connected for me. Would probably stay here again but would hope they resolve Wi-Fi issue.
We cannot say enough good things about this RV park. It can be used as an example of what RV parks should be. We didn't have a reservation, arrived late afternoon. The owner escorted us to our site which was spotless. Cable TV, WiFi, and cleanliness of the site and the rest of the park made it one of the most enjoyable stays in our 2 months travel so far this summer.
We spent two nights here. It is a beautiful RV park with shady sites and lots of room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful place to stay. WiFi was restricted but we were able to do email. We would definitely come back and stay here again.
Very quiet park. Located about 8 miles out of town. We are right next to the pond but no pond view as there is a hill surrounding it with the campground sitting below. No cell phone signal. WiFi is iffy. Owners are not friendly. There is a 5 mph speed limit which the owner strictly enforces by monitoring comings and goings on his golf cart. We were adhering to this speed limit, however he sternly motioned for us to slow down as we were returning from going out to dinner. Unlike a previous reviewer, we are not new to camping. We have stayed in campgrounds from coast to coast and Canada. We would not come back, and if we hadn't already paid for a couple days we would leave and go elsewhere. It reminds me of boarding school.
Very quiet, clean park. Ladies in the registration office were very courteous. We were parked on a site for water and electric only as they were full when we made our reservations. The site had woods behind and along side which was very nice. We had a problem with the WiFi, called the office and they sent maintenance to check on it. He said he would work on it. They say it's cable WiFi but we were never able to navigate the internet. It said "low connectivity" on the signal indicator on our PC. We wouldn't ordinarily care, but we paid for internet access. We were here 2 nights. If you don't need WiFi it's a wonderful place. If you are on the road for a long period and need to connect with family or do business, then think again.
Beautiful place to stay. The ocean was in our backyard and we could see The Caves across the bay. Owners/managers were very courteous and helpful. If you want to experience the Bay of Fundy in a relaxed, comfortable place, this is the place to stay. We would certainly come back. WiFi was not as strong as we would have liked, but the owner said he is having a booster installed first week of July. However the WiFi allowed us to do what we needed to do, along with upload some photos to share.
The previous reviewer is right about Overland Trail's website. It is very nice. However his/her take on the owner/manager is off base. We stayed at Overland Trail for a week. It is a small park, has few amenities, but does have laundry and shower facilities. The wifi was free and worked great. We were in Fort Davis to sightsee and enjoy the area. We found the manager very helpful and friendly. Matter of fact, the day we left I lost my cellphone and didn't discover it until we were 200 miles west on our way to AZ. I called, asked if he would see if he could find it around our space. He found it and mailed it to us at our next stop. During the week we were in his park he was a down to earth, Texas style, friendly host and we will certainly visit his park again when we are in the area. For a "down home" quiet and friendly place it can't be beat.
Very nice park. Helpful and friendly managers. Very well maintained, quiet and clean. They offer free breakfast which they call Continental breakfast every morning. Never saw such a variety free in previous parks. They also provide USA Today free to residents. They offer wifi which is one of our requisites while traveling. Spent a week there and would definitely stay again.
New park apparently heading toward park models. Construction going on to set up park models. Restricted to newer than ten yr old RVs longer than 25'. We spent two nights while visiting friends in the area. Would stay again if we are in the area. Clean and very quiet.
We came to this park from La Hacienda RV Resort in Apache Junction where we stayed two nights. La Hacienda caters to primarily park models and permanent residents. We had planned on a two week stay, but left because we were in a 5th wheel travel trailer and did not feel welcome at all. We found Countryside the day after arriving at La Hacienda and moved here immediately. While visiting to see what Countryside had to offer we found friendly folks and almost all of the amenities offered at the much higher priced La Hacienda RV Resort. Countryside is gated, has friendly helpful management and is clean and well maintained. We have two small poodles and have taken advantage of the nice walking area just outside a gate close to our site. TengoNet offers wifi for a nominal charge and works great. We will definitely come back again to Countryside. It's convenient to anything you need in the area.
