We arrived here on a Saturday afternoon which proved to be a mistake for traffic. It took us 30 minutes to travel 8 miles! The road to the campsite is very windy and steep so take care driving it and would NOT recommend driving it in the dark!! Our site was lake front and actually quite roomy and beautiful. I have no complaints on our site or the grounds. Both where beautifully maintained. We are a traveling family that our jobs require Wi-Fi access 24/7. When making our reservations we asked them if they had on-site Wi-Fi and they assured us they did. Well "on-site" to me means I have access at my actual site. They meant it was only at the office. To access it you have to sit in your car or on a bench outside the office. It is very inconvenient and uncomfortable to sit on a bench without a table. Also we found the staff not very friendly and at time extremely rude. Simple questions like "Where is the closest bathroom" was replied with "You just passed three of them!" A simple reply of just over there beyond the playground or you can use the ones by the pool, would have been a lot more hospitable. Like other travelers have reported, lots of kids here and there are few activities for them. They do have paddle boats and row boats to rent. We loved riding our bikes and walking around the lake. We might go back again if the Wi-Fi access changes but it is sometimes hard to ignore rude staff.

Lake-In-Wood camping resort is located on mountain in PA. We have mixed reviews for this park. Used our GPS to get there. The road up is very winding and steep so beware! We sure were glad to have a powerful enough truck to get us through some of the very steep climbs and narrow roads. When we arrived the staff seemed friendly and they even gave us a little bobble head gnome! They do have golf carts for rent, which I highly recommend, if you don't have a bike but the price is steep. One of the reasons we went here was because we wanted to have a wooded tree surrounded site. Driving through the campground to our site we were excited to see that this was what we exactly going to get. Boy were we wrong. We were given their most unique site, so they told us. It was right on their baseball field! Our site was the only one on the baseball field and totally open. Now if you are a scout master or having a family reunion this would be great but for us it held no privacy and we were constantly worried that balls would hit our car or RV. The front desk told us they were sold out and could not relocate us. My husband and I couldn't believe how unsympathetic they were. A little understanding would have gone a long way but all they would say is that this is one of the best sites and we were lucky to have it. To say we were upset is putting it mildly. Our site was called Brotherhood Circle. So if this is not what you want be sure not to get this one. This put a huge damper on our trip. The campground is well maintained and they have a well stocked store. The arcade is very small so if you have teenagers like us they will probably be a bit disappointed. Their wifi service worked well for those of us who can't live without internet service. The public bathrooms are well kept. The pool is nice and has a sit down juice bar for kids in it. It is very hilly so bike riding is a bit tough in sections so the golf cart came in handy. If we had gotten a site that wasn't on a baseball field and if the staff was more pleasant we would probably have given them a higher rating.

This is our second stay at Big Timber. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The camp had fun activities during the weekend that where outstanding. This is a big plus when you have children. Wifi was available but is not free. Our pull through site was spacious and pretty level. The pool was well maintained. Bathroom and laundry facilities were cleaned daily. Enjoy the fact that it is within 20 minutes of all the Jersey shore activities and beaches. We plan to return here next year for the Memorial Day weekend and would recommend it to anyone.

We finally broke down and decided to buy our first fifth wheel RV. Big Timber Lake Camping Resort was our first outing. As newbies we had a lot to learn about all the fine points of RV'ing. The staff at Big Timber where extremely helpful and came out to show us all the little details our salesman didn't. We were so appreciative of their help and friendly disposition! The site we had was a pull through located right next to the pool, club house and office. A bit noisy at times but that is to be expected in a family oriented enviroment. We participated in the numerous activities with my 15 year old daughter and her friend and had a blast! The public bathrooms were clean and neat as were the laundry facilities. Key for me was they had excellent wifi service for those of us who are workaholics. The lot was a bit uneven but workable. We had full service hookup (WSE & Cable) which worked perfectly. The camp is only about 20 minutes from Wildwood so we were able to enjoy the boardwalk too! All in all we loved our first experience and would recommend this family friendly campground to everyone.

This park is perfectly located for those looking to visit Philadelphia and all its local attractions. The sites are a bit tight but they are clean and level. The bathrooms and laundry rooms where well kept up. It also has a child’s pool that is separate from the adult pool. The batting cages where a hit with the kids. A lot of full timers but the entire park was clean and well maintained so no complaints there. We were on a site next to the office so wifi was free and had strong signal. Staff was helpful and loved the fact that they were open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. We would recommend this park.
