We have stayed here several times. The sites are clean, long, and pretty level. The staff is very helpful. There are many pipeline welders staying here, though that is not a problem. Everybody we have met is very friendly. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. Interstate 20 passes right in front of the park, and the park is next to an oil equipment depot that seems to run 24/7. That said, the Wi-Fi service is good as is cable service.
This park is an oasis in the middle of the desert. The sites were spacious, clean, level, and well shaded. The grass was well watered and very green. The artificial lake is nice. However, they advertise cable service, but it was down when we were there. We were told that there were no plans to fix it either. Also, the Wi-Fi signal was not very strong and downloads were slow. Anybody camping here needs to remember that Terrible's is a casino first, an RV park second. Of course, most of the people camping at Terrible's is there for the casino. We weren't, so the casino was just a big, bright distraction.
I can't think of any thing bad to say about this park. The sites were nice clean gravel with privacy hedges between each site. There was a nice pool next to a comfortable laundry room. And there were plenty of cute quail wondering about the site. If I were a full-timer, I would love to stay a few months at this park. Very, very pleasant.
This was a very nice park. The owner is working very hard to improve and expand the park. He is working to add sites closer to the river. He was not in the office when I called, so I had to leave a message. He called me back that afternoon. He was very nice and very helpful. Be sure to tell him if you have a very long rig; there are not many sites that can handle the really long, bus conversion RVs. There is a very good cafe across the road from the park. I can't remember its name, but it's very good.
