This is the nicest park in Flagstaff and they take advantage with the highest rates. They raised the weekly rate by $30 this year. Even though the website says the tax is included, it is not so the savings per day on the weekly rate is 72 cents. This is NOT a bargain. As stated by previous reviewers the red lava rock is hard to walk on and hard on doggy paws. Though we complained about the clothes dryers not working properly, nothing was done and it took two cycles at $3.00 to dry a load of permanent press. The park is between two industrial complexes so it can be very noisy plus highway noise.
This is our second stay at this park. It is a very nice park but needs landscaping. Someone needs to be hired that knows the difference between weeds and desert landscaping. The staff is very friendly and the dog park is very nice. For the price they should offer cable TV because the local stations are very limited. The restrooms and showers are clean and nice but the laundry is a bit pricey.
This park is not well maintained, the sites are small, and the roads are narrow. It is not big rig friendly. The park does not have cable TV and the selection of local stations by antenna is very limited. The Wi-Fi connection is practically nonexistent. The only good connection is in the office or laundry room. We had to buy a booster and still couldn’t connect. The dryers in the laundry room is old and inefficient. We would not recommend this park until it is cleaned up and modernized.
What a gem! This is a nice clean, well maintained park. The owners are very friendly. The laundry and restrooms are spotless. Get a spot overlooking the river. It’s a great place to relax, read a book or just daydream. All they need is cable TV to make it perfect. We are definitely coming back.
This park is old and not well maintained. It is only a gravel lot next to a dirty, mosquito infested pond. We were so disappointed in this park we wanted to leave immediately but knew we couldn’t find a park in the area because of the rodeo. The park is mismanaged with small tent trailers in the spaces that should be reserved for big 5th wheels and motorhomes with the larger RVs in tiny cramped sites. They also do not like long term customers and would rather cater to the 1 or 2 night people. The laundry was very old with only two dryers. I would not recommend this park and will never return.
This is a nice park. The field where they put the motor homes has few trees so it can get hot in the afternoon. The cable stations are very limited and need to be improved. It’s difficult to get WiFi at certain times of the day and that also needs to be improved. This campground was recommended by a close friend and I expected more from it. The laundry was also expensive.
This is a nice park. Very helpful owners. Very good cable and WI-FI. There’s a free continental breakfast. It’s fun watching the Grand Canyon Railroad going out and then coming back. Lots of good restaurants in Williams. We would recommend this park.
This is an old park that is not well maintained. The sites are very long and can accommodate any size with tow but the space between sites is small and you feel like you’re living with your neighbor. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The laundry room has older machines and only three dryers. The WIFI could be spotty especially when the park is crowded. It is right next to I-5 so there is a lot of traffic noise. This park is good for an overnight and nothing more.
This is nothing but a gravel lot with utilities. Sites are long but VERY close together. Don’t try to make reservations because you will NEVER get a call back. That’s just rude. How can you run a business like that? When we got there the office was closed - naturally so we picked a spot. The map of the facilities is drawn on a white board and not very specific. The information provided in an outside box had a Mt. Shasta map that was unreadable, NO information on the park (like a map) and the TV listing was wrong. What a terrible way to run an business. We would not recommend this park and will not return.
This is an old but well maintained park. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a lot of full time residents. Some of those RVs are shabby and not well kept with too much junk around them. They do have a very nice and clean laundry room. This would have gotten a higher mark, but it is right next to a very busy highway and the noise is unending.
This is a very nice country park. It’s like camping in the great outdoors without the hassle. Large sites, plenty of room between sites. Great WIFI and cable. We would highly recommend this park. One ding - there are no laundry facilities which is very inconvenient.
This is a shabby old park that is Not well maintained. We can’t understand how anyone could give it a 9 or 10, it certainly does not deserve that high a mark. The Wi-Fi is nonexistent and their cable TV can’t be accessed through the utility pole like everyone else. You practically have to tear your TV apart to make it work. We decided to skip it. If you must stay in Albany, stay somewhere else.
This park is just ideal. Well maintained and beautiful. The pull-thru’s are paved, very long, and wide. More than enough room to stretch out. Grass in between sites with a paved patio. Laundry room and showers are clean and new. We highly recommend this park and we will be back probably for a month next time.
This is a very nice park and very well maintained. The laundry room needs updating, it has some very old dryers. It’s convenient to Portland and Hood River along with restaurants and stores. There is some airplane noise as it is on the flight path to PDX and some train noise, however it is not constant and not that intrusive. Our only real ding against the park is the management needs to take customer service classes. They can be very nasty to customers.
This park was a huge disappointment. Though it is a beautiful, well maintained park it leaves a lot to be desired. One of the main reason - NO CABLE. Even though it says it has cable it only has 6 local stations and some of those are scratchy and don’t work. Considering how expensive this park is, it’s inexcusable not to have full cable. The other problem is it is on a very busy highway and many of the sites on the north side get the full highway noise, which is loud. Don’t expect to get much sleep or carry on a conversation. Plus, if you spend more than a week here they put you right near the road. I guess they don’t want anyone taking advantage of the better weekly rate. They are more interested in accommodating one night or weekend people than weekly or longer. Seems very short sighted on their part. The last thing is the water pressure is very low, it is very hard to take a shower.
Typically shabby KOA. Very narrow rows and very short pull-thru. We paid an extra $3/night for an extra long pull-thru and did not get it nor did we get the reduced rate for a regular pull-thru. . Like most mismanaged KOAs they don’t understand the room it takes for a big rig. Many large motor homes and 5th wheels had problems getting into the small sites. Would not recommend this park except in an emergency.
This is an old, but maintained park. It’s nice and quiet and in a convenient location to downtown Carson City and Virginia City. Compared to the two other parks in the area, it is the best location. The biggest downfall is that the sites are all gravel and a very tight turn to get into. Also the pull-throughs are only 45’ long.
The scenery from this park is amazing. The lake is gorgeous. Also, this is a very nice park that is well kept up and easy to access. The pull through site are spacious and long. Both the Cable and WI-FI were very good. My only thing is that they do not reduce the rates in the summer when they are mostly empty because of the heat.
This is an outstanding park. After driving through Beatty & Tonapah and seeing the dilapidated parking lots that passed for RV parks, we were a bit skeptical. However, we were more than pleasantly surprised at how nice this park is. This is the only nice place to stop on US95. The pull thoughs are concrete and long and all the other amenities were excellent. We highly recommend this park.
We like the convenience of the location of this park but the park itself is mismanaged. This is the second time we have stayed here and both times we were put in a site that was much too small. The owners need to be aware of the sites that can hold large motorhomes and the ones that can't. The two larger motorhomes next to us were also on small sites. Just because it's a pull through site, does not mean a 35' or larger motorhome can fit into it. We were not able to use our awning and barely got the slides out. We noticed that much small trailers and one night customers were put into nicer more spacious sites. Very, very poor management. We had a one week reservation and should have been put into a larger more comfortable site. It is really unfortunate that this park is so mismanaged as it could be a good park but the owners just don't understand.
This is a very nice rustic park. Camping in the forest was great, no traffic noise. The office staff is friendly. Some of the pull-through sites are close but most have plenty of room. We would definitely recommend the park even though it is a 45 minute ride to the North Rim. The only ding is the water pressure is terrible.
For a KOA this was a really nice park. Even though the laundromat was a public/commercial laundromat, it was very nice with fairly new equipment. The office staff was friendly and helpful and the hand dipped ice cream was delish. The water pressure was terrific. The only ding would be the interior park roads had lots of potholes. Cedar City is a charming town.
This is a nice park. The pull-through sites are paved and level and there is grass between each site, however the sites are a little close together. The laundry rooms are neat and clean with new equipment and you can pay with a card instead of having a pocket full of change. The shower suites are terrific with each containing a shower, toilet and sink. I’ve never seen that before. Also, Springville is a cute little town and very close to Provo. All in all, we would recommend this place.
This is the third time this year that reviews on this website have led us to terrible parks. This is a typical shabby KOA which is basically a dirt lot. The pull-through area is next to a busy highway so the traffic noise is unbearable. We cut our stay short because of the condition of this park. We DO NOT recommend it and would never stay here again.
This is a rustic park. We had no problem with the 20 amp service as it was in the 70’s the four days we were here in August. Our major complaint was that we were very near the highway and the noise was very disturbing and took away from the "camping in the woods" experience. The office staff were all very friendly and helpful.
This park was originally going to get a 9 with the only ding being the high price. However, on our second stay in this park we were stuck near the playground with screaming children past 10:00 pm. Where are the parents for these brats? Also the ladies showers near site 64 was filthy, thanks to two teenage girls who trashed it. For over $50 a night I expect clean restroom all day not just 5 minutes after they are cleaned in the morning.
This is an OK park. The old section is very cramped and only back-ins. The newer section has both back-ins and pull-through but the sites are very close together. The WIFI is non-existent and the cable TV does NOT have all the channels that they claim to have. Didn’t carry HGTV or Food network plus about a dozen others that I watch. The laundry is expensive with the dryers at $1.50 for 30 minutes. Nothing dries in 30 minutes. The location is terrific but the amenities leave a lot to be desired.
This park is very old but well maintained but still a huge disappointment. Sites are gravel. The only grass is in the tent area which makes the park very dusty. The area surrounding the park is very rundown and shabby. However the office staff was friendly and helpful. WiFi and Cable were very good. Don’t understand the high ratings of previous visitors because it was overpriced for a gravel parking lot.
Nice and clean small park. Weird, double wide pull-through sites but since it wasn’t busy, that was no problem. Our only complaint was the Wi-Fi was terrible. So if that’s important, it’s something to consider. Cable TV was terrific with a lot of channels.
The park is neat and clean and the owners go to a lot of effort to keep it that way. Nice and shady also. It would have gotten a much higher rating but the constant highway noise made it difficult to sleep with your windows open.
This park is very shabby and dirty with lots of old, not taken care of trailers with tons of junk outside. The only good part about the park is it was shady. We needed some work done on our RV and the mobile RV service listed in their brochure never returned our calls. When we asked the owner to recommend someone else he was not interested in helping. We will not return to this park due to the awful customer service and the shabby condition of the park.
This is a shabby little park with a lot of full time residents. It needs a major clean up. There is an RV park next door which isn't much better. It does have terrific cable TV and is close to Zion which are the only two good things I can say about it.
The park is a bit shabby from years of neglect but the new owners are doing a terrific job in cleaning it up and bringing it up to their standards. My only complaint is there was no cable TV. We were able to get a few SLC stations and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The owners are very friendly and will do what ever it takes to make you comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
The website for this park makes it look cute and charming. It is not. It is very plain with gravel sites and lots of full time residents. The only thing I can say is it's better than most Arizona KOA's.
This is a very nice park and was recommended by a friend of ours. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint was there was no grass between sites only gravel. The picnic tables were ancient and in need of replacement. They could improve it a lot by sprucing up the sites and having a recycle area. The only recyling we could find was for newspapers.
This is a terrific park. Clean and well maintained. No highway or train noises. Very friendly office staff. We enjoyed our stay here and will return if we ever pass through Benson again. We'd highly recommend this park.
This is a very nice park and we highly recommend it. The pull-through sites are long and wide with privacy bushes between each site. The people are friendly and helpful. We loved this park and will return as soon as we can.
This park was going to get a much higher rating until we got up on Monday to find the maintenance man watering the lawn, the picnic table AND OUR canvas chairs because he was too lazy to move them to the dirt. Extremely poor customer service. The park also has a lot of highway noise. Plus it is overpriced. They even charge an extra $3.00 per day for a dog which makes it very over priced. The sites, whether pull-through or back in are close together and do not offer a lot of privacy. We would not recommend this park and will not return to it.
This is a shabby and not well maintained park. We picked it because it received good reviews and we don’t know why anyone would recommend this place. We are glad we are only here overnight. We would never stay here again, basically it’s a dirt parking lot. Plus there is no cable. Most of the residents are full time and do not take care of their RVs.
This is a small park and not suitable for big rigs. We were lucky that no one was assigned the site next to us or our slides would have been touching. Though the host was very nice the owners never bothered to introduce themselves the entire time we were there. Also there were a lot of full timers and not many spots for other travelers and they have no laundry facilities.
This is a very nice park with large sites and grassy areas between the sites. Though it is near the 101 there was no highway noise. We would definitely stay here again. Nice people, a mini mart and good laundry facilities. Also close to downtown Arcata, McKinleyville and Eureka. Really loved this park.
This park is very crowded and the sites are narrow. We were assigned to a site that did not fit a motorhome comfortably. The office sent us into the site from the wrong direction and if it wasn’t for helpful neighbors we would have been stuck. The bathrooms are old and in need of remodel. We cannot recommend this park and we will not return to it.
The sites are long enough, paved and level and the view of the bay is nice. This is a really nice park and close to anything you want to do in the area. My only ding is that the Wi-Fi is terrible. I could only get into it twice during the five days we were there.
This is a terrific park. The new owners are friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. There’s not much to do around Bay Center if you don’t fish or clam, but is well worth it just to sit and relax. We would definitely return to this park. We loved it.
This is the nicest park in the area. However the pull-through sites are VERY narrow. We could not use our awning while we were here because of the close trees. Also, the laundry room is totally inadequate with only 2 washers and dryers: one dryer was broke the entire time we were here. They are taking down Elwha Dam so we heard a lot of construction trucks very early in the morning. We would not return to this park.
This is a wonderful park. So quiet and relaxing. Very close to Mt. St. Helen though the closest entrance was still closed because of snow and Mt. Rainier. It's very easy to just relax with an easy walk down to the lake. We would definitely stay here again. Loved it.
This is a pretty park and quiet. However the spaces are rather close together so that you hear your neighbors barking dog all day. This park does not offer weekly rates or discounts for any club and is very high priced. Even though it’s pricey you only get 1 hour of Wi-Fi per 24 hours and the cable stinks. It’s only local channels not even basic cable. For the price we paid we should have had better cable and unlimited Wi-Fi. We will not return to this overpriced park.
This park is very clean with concrete pads and grass in between. However, it’s behind a Safeway store. Our pad faced the loading dock. Safeway’s trucks were coming and going made it too noisy to sit outside or have your windows open, and Safeway’s A/C made additional noise. The best and quietest spots were reserved for long term residents. This park is located in Salem but does not have decent cable television. All they offer are local stations, some shopping stations and religious stations. I would prefer if they charged a couple of dollars more a day and gave me good cable TV. We were here for over a week and still had one of the less desirable spots. We would not do an extended stay again, it’s only good for one night stays.
This is a very nice park BUT it's so close to I-5 there is constant road noise. Also they water the vegetation at midnight and no matter where you put your chairs they get soaked and your vehicle gets sprayed. However the owners are very friendly and keep a clean and neat park.
This is a lovely park, tall trees and quiet. It's like camping in with woods without the inconvenience. It's right in the middle of the area wineries. The owner is very nice and helpful. We would highly recommend this park and would stay here again.
This park is a work in progress, I hope. Gravel pull-through sites, VERY close together. Great view of I-5 and nothing else. The restrooms did not seem clean. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it.
This is a very nice park in the cool pines. Some of the sites are a bit uneven as was ours. The people are very friendly. Our only complaint was there was a lot of road work being done and it was quite noisy during the day with the semis going up and down the road. But loved the Saturday ice cream social.
First of all, this park is in a mosquito infested field. Bring LOTS of bug spray. We could not enjoy the cool evenings because in the infestation. There were a lot of unsavory looking characters living in the permanent trailers to the point where I felt unsafe using the showers. We only had Wi-Fi for one day which was very inconvenient. We would not stay here again.
This is a sad old park in desperate need of TLC. There are too many full time residents so it is more of a trailer park than RV park. The grass and weeds needed mowing, and the trees needed trimming. We would not stay here again; it was very depressing.
This is a terrific park. Very clean and well maintained and the staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. Pull-throughs were very spacious with a nice grassy area. We would definitely use this park again.
Though this park is in a terrific location, it is over priced, and they do not give any discounts for Good Sam, AARP or anything else. The space between rigs is tight with your neighbor's sewer line right at the picnic table. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But for what you are getting, it should be $15 less per night.
This is a very shabby park and for $50 a night, they should have cable. But I guess when you are the only camp for miles you can charge anything. Obviously the view was spectacular but it didn't make up for the lack of cable, no cell phone and spotty Wi-Fi. Plus, the water pressure was extremely low but the park kept watering the grass and weeds, even after an all night rain storm. The food at the Cafe was horrid. Never order the beef tips. Plus, the employees race around the park on their golf carts at all hours. Very noisy. I would not return to this park.
This is a very nice park. Off the road and quiet. We would definitely recommend it. The only draw back was there is no cable TV and absolutely no cell service. The laundry room is small, only 2 of each and is busy all the time. The owners and staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Spaces were very wide and spacious. We hated to leave.
This is a nice park but you wouldn't know it when you first pull. Very messy at the entrance and hard to get in. We were in the back section and the pull-thru was tight. The 5th wheel next to us was over in our spot so relaxing outside was uncomfortable. The dryers in the laundry did not dry very well. After spending 1 1/2 hours my permanent press were still damp. The barbecue was good though.
This is a very small park and is next to a VERY busy highway. A lot of truck traffic all day. If you were lucky enough to get the first pull-through site, you had a wonderful view of the Spanish Peaks. The other three pull-throughs looked at a construction company warehouse. And, as stated before, the pull-through sites were too short. The owners were very friendly.
This was a very nice park and the owners are very friendly. We tried the cookout and it was very good and a good value for the money. Our only complaint was the cable TV did not work very well. We were only able to get a couple of stations.
This is a very shabby RV park with many permanent residents in very old RVs. There was one pull-through site only because they removed the fence between the park and the parking lot next door. Our tow vehicle was in the parking lot. We will never stay here again and do not recommend it.
