Park is very clean and well maintained. Nice and quiet. Good friendly people.

This park was nice when the old campground was still being used, but since they rebuilt and moved the campground closer to the lake, its not as nice. There are no shade trees. The beach was so dirty, I wouldn't let my dog swim in the water. You also get the noise and smell from Monroe Edison, and don't plan on using your awning, the wind is so strong it would probably rip it off. Only plus is they have good fishing and alot of biking and hiking trails.

This is a great campground, lots to do in the summer months. We visit in the off season and we have our annual Christmas camping trip here. The sites are long and wide, and the premium sites have cable tv, telephone hookup, along with water and sewer. The sites are plowed if there is snow fall. This is a great place to camp!!

Not a real large campground. There is no place to swim or fish, I guess you could swim at the canoe launch but its shallow. A lot of road noise because the highway is viewable from every site. The staff was very friendly, as were the other campers. The camp store was awesome, they have a lot of neat stuff. Don't get a riverfront site and expect to swim, there is about a 5 foot drop down to the river, and when we did attempt to climb down to swim we got stuck in the muddy muck. The sites are nice and long but site number 10 which is a river front site is not very wide and it has a tree toward the front which made it hard to back my rig into. Their dump station is only accessable from the highway, and it is a pain in the butt to back into off the highway with all the traffic, and if you have a large rig expect it to block the road, I know mine did. The campground is right down the road for the National Wildlife Refuge, which was really neat, lots of beaver, various birds, deer, and Bald Eagles!!

Very nice family run campground!! They have hayrides on the weekends and various other activities for the kids. Free paddle boats and canoes to use. A swimming pool, and a fishing pond where the kids have a fishing contest every day (on weekends). Only problem I had was that their pull through sites are very narrow, and your neighbors sewer pipe is almost in the middle of your picnic table. They do charge for visitors, they have a alpaca farm and a huge climbing wall with a zip line, that wasn't open when we were there. But over all it is a nice campground.

The web site looks WAY better then the campground. The campground reminded me of something out of a horror movie!! The place is just a dump. The web site says indoor movies on a big screen, and when we went in, the so called lodge we found it quite empty and the movie screen and video projector was no where to be found. The water in this campground was brown and looked like mud, it was very iron laden and it plugged our water filter up 3 times!! There is not a lot for the kids, the playground was a joke, I have more playground equipment in my back yard. And as for the so called Ranger Jeff, he was a nice, but very strange. The sites are not wide at all, we almost couldn't slide our sides out all the way. One plus is that it is across the street from lake superior, and it was very quiet. I think the proprietor is a shady person, only accepting cash and not having a refund policy. The roads are very dusty and the sites are not labeled clear at all. All I can say is we will not ever go back to this place again and I would definitely not recommend it to anyone, look elsewhere as there are much better campgrounds in the Marquette area..
