We stayed here for the 4th of July. It was full of tent campers. We were at the back of the campground. The pool was very small! The larger playground was out of order due to painting. The smaller playground looked like it could collapse at any minute. I can see why people nickname this campground: cabin city. There were tons of small cabins all around the campground. Because of the high volume of tent and cabin campers, the bathrooms were always pretty full. There are two bathhouses: a front one and a back one. The back one had two sets of restrooms for the women. This way, even when it is being cleaned, one set is always open. They claimed they had free Wi-Fi, but we were not able to get any reception. The TV reception was not very good either, it was not worth watching. They have a small camp store with very little supplies. They do have a basketball court, volleyball net and corn hole rental. This was a very quiet place and was close to amenities, such as Kalahari, the mall, etc., but we still would probably not go back because of the lack of kid activities. Oh, they do have a daily pancake breakfast available for purchase.

This was our first ever campground. We picked up our RV and went directly to this site. We had never before camped. We were told the owners were new owners that were really trying to revamp the campground. It was very tight getting into our pull through site. My husband got stuck around a bend to turn the RV around. We saw immediately how the RV community works to help you and a gentleman came to spot my husband around the turn. This is a small campground. If you want quiet, in the middle of the country...this is for you. They do have a pool (they were renovating it when we were there), a small playground, a not so good basket ball court, and a shelter house. They did not have a "camp store" like many we campgrounds we have seen. They had pulled up the mini golf course for renovation. There were a lot of permanent campers here...many were pipe workers. It was quiet and they all seemed to keep things clean. The bathhouse is small and littered with spiders. They were in the process of redoing the bathhouses. I can't speak for the mens room...the womans room had 3 small, small, small stalls and 1 shower. This was a great campground for our first ever camping experience. They had a potluck in the shelter house the night we arrived, with a movie projected on to the wall. This campground had the friendliest campers we have seen since.

This is the third time we have camped at Lazy River. We like to camp here because it is only 30 minutes away from home. I did not enjoy this past weekend though. It was SO crowded and we were placed at the back of the campground. Usually, we are close to the playground and pool. Having kids, it is important to us next time, to be closer to the amenities. The pool was a nightmare. Older kids were playing "chicken" in the shallow end of the pool. This pool is small and can not tolerate too many people. The spray park is nice, but does not interest my kids. The creek is always a big hit. People were catching large crawdads and having a blast. It was a hike to the creek from our site. Overall, we still enjoy Lazy River, but don't plan to go here again unless we camp with friends. It is much easier to entertain your kids with friends. The kids can bring their bikes, but the road is gravel...a helmet is a definete recommendation.
