This is a great park to use as a base for exploring the area. Sites were level, park was clean and well maintained. We camped here as part of a group and used the clubhouse for evening activities. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Good WiFi and cell service for both Verizon and ATT. Many of the spots have good line of sight for roof top satellite. It's about a half block from the fairgrounds, so if you are a light sleeper be sure to check the fairground schedule for the Plumas/Sierra County Fairgrounds www.plumas-sierracountyfair.net. There were stock car races on Saturday night while we were there that went until after 10PM. It wasn't too bad but it's enough to keep a light sleeper awake.

Great staff, even had an ice cream social and decorating contest on July 4th! Forested area, only a few sites allow access to satellite TV. Be sure to bring your bug spray, lots of mosquitos here. No ATT cell service at the RV park, we had to drive north about 5 miles to pick up a signal. Verizon users seemed to be able to get a signal OK. WiFi was OK most of the time.

Nice campground in forested area near the lake. Lots of hiking trails in the area. Be sure to bring your bug spray. The electrical system in the park had a problem maintaining voltage in the afternoon when everyone had their air conditioners on. 105 to 108 volts was typical in the afternoon. When we turned on our AC, it dropped below 104 and tripped our power line monitor, taking us off line. So we couldn't use our AC during the hottest part of the day. I checked with the AC manufacturer the next week on the minimum voltage acceptable. Turns out that 105 volts and below will start burning the AC components up, so it's a good thing that the power line monitor kept cutting out!
