My wife and I liked this place. It is behind an old motel with a 1950 Studebaker parked in front. How could you not like a place like this? The people are working to restore things and every day we saw people to keep the clean, mowed, etc. We were escorted to our site and the man stayed to be sure I was hooked up properly and tell me about the town and some history. They are using a couple of the motel rooms for their clubhouse and bathrooms. Lots of things to see if you are into Rt.66 history. Wife was sad to leave and wished we could have stayed longer. Will return.
Level gravel site with concrete curbing. No shade. Wi-Fi and cable worked well. There is shuttle service to the casino. Save your money for their restaurant. They have great food whether you order off the menu or choose the buffet. Great sightseeing opportunities in Grants and along Rt.66. Would definitely stay there again.
Well managed and maintained park. We were escorted to our site. The man apologized for asking me to unhook before entering the site. He was concerned that the grass may be too wet and the ground too soft. Wi-Fi,cable, and laundry were very good. For us it was a good location, about 17 miles east of Durango. We are in a 32 ft. rig. We would stay there again.
Rating is due to no hot water in the shower room, no Wi-Fi at the site (repeater problem), and a washing machine was missing it's lid. Nothing was fixed in the three nights I was there. I was self-contained but the people in tents had to be uncomfortable. Other than that the park was good.
