Wonderful CG. Lack of sewer at each site could become a pain during long stays. However. the greatest thing about this CG is that most everyone followed the rules and were courtious. When quite hours began the place went quiet. Even those who were hanging out and drinking kept it quiet. There is a nice pool and play ground for kids. We liked the multitude of trails to walk the dog. The grounds were very well kept. I would not hesitate to visit again.
The owners and workers were very friendly. CG is small but well kept and quiet. Their Wi-Fi was down the first day but they repaired it. If you are in a site along the stream the front of the site is perpendicular to a road going to a Tyson factory but didn't present a problem. Our rate is Passport America. I took one point off the rating because the sites are rather close together. I'd stay here again if in the area.
We arrived approx. 7:30 pm for a one night stay. I had booked ahead of time via email to confirm they could handle my 36' MH pulling a 26' enclosed trailer. They had a perfect spot for that instance. Basically a site with it's own loop. CG is somewhat small without fluff and perfect for someone who is looking for a quiet place to park either for the night or a few days vacation in the area. The staff was very friendly. I'd stay there again.
CG was very nice. I echo the first portion of a previous review where the person gave several 10's for the sites, view, etc. We found the stay very enjoyable. I had limited interaction with the staff (3 minutes at check in). Four of the six water closets were closed for repair when we were there. I didn't find that uncommon as it's winter and a good time for renovations. The one I used was very clean and was 100% functional. The reason I gave an overall of 9 is the road getting to the place. Once you turn off the highway there is about 100' of pavement then a curvy narrow dirt road cut into the hill. Being from WV I didn't find it abnormal, but a person who isn't used to driving in confined spaces may find it difficult. It takes some planning on where to position your rig to make the next turn. If possible stop at the bottom of the hill and call the CG to inquire if any rigs are coming down as there is no place for passing.
We stayed there two nights. The CG was nice. It's basic with nothing fancy. But it was clean and quiet. All roads are paved. Sites are gravel with a concrete slab and picnic table. Nice area to walk dogs along creek. Decent shade trees. 50 amp sites are limited but since it was winter and we didn't need both a/c's that wasn't a problem. Low price due to Passport America discount. I gave it a 9 only because they advertise Wi-Fi but when you log on you find out that you only get two free log ins. Either I overlooked that or they failed to tell me. There is a Pigeon Forge bus that comes to CG but it takes 45 minutes to get to bus station. Recommend driving to bus station then getting on trolley. Of course we did this in the winter. There may not be enough parking in the summer to do that.
