Jay Cooke is very wooded. This location is pretty far from other activities, but it is pretty in a deep woods kind of way. We liked the hiking trails and swinging bridge. There are campgrounds closer to Duluth and Lake Superior if you are going up there for an event. Nice place.
This is a beautiful, scenic park on Lake Superior's north shore. The cabins were fine, but I wish we had stayed at the kayak sites. They were already taken. Very cold too, if the wind is off the lake, but worth the view. Highly recommend.
This is a very nice campground. New management has made a big difference. They even have Wi-Fi now, and new showers and toilets. Everything is clean and ready to use. Also, good communication and response to questions. Love the view and the scenery - lots of room for the kids to play. Location is great - right on the Western Waterfront Trail and the St. Louis River. We rented kayaks and had a blast! I'd recommend to all my friends. It's a great way to see Duluth. Check out the new web site -- it gives you lots more information about things to do and see. Love it!
