Very nice RV park in town near all shopping and restaurants. Gated park with paved roads and very level RV sites with grass surrounding sites. Each site has concrete patio with picnic table and charcoal grill. RV park is in residential area rather than commercial/industrial area of Pleasanton, so very little noise from truck traffic and equipment. Very clean, private restrooms. Large, clean laundry with new washers/dryers that operates on the honor system at $1.00 per load to wash or dry. RV sites are spacious with large parking area for 2 to 3 vehicles. Rate shown is monthly.
New RV Park in Pleasanton is, by far, nicest in the area. All paved roads and RV sites, all with 30/50 amp electric, public water, and sewer, WI-FI included in site monthly or weekly rate. Large laundromat and private restrooms/showers to be completed within 1-2 weeks. Grass between sites within a week or so. Gated/fenced with code access for guests. Very large premium RV sites to open within couple of weeks also. Good rules in place and onsite management. Close to grocery stores (HEB & Walmart), shopping, and restaurants. Primarily monthly guests due to Eagle Ford Shale oil/gas boom in this part of TX. Really nice for Winter Texans also due to proximity to coast (Port Aransas), the valley (Brownsville/McAllen), and only 30 minutes to San Antonio, 1 hour to Austin. Pleasanton is just off I-37, and is a nice, smaller town with good shopping and restaurants, but growing quickly. Bar M is definitely the best choice for this area.
Large RV PARK, not resort. Mostly monthly due to oil boom in south TX. Monthly rate varies by site. 90% of sites are EXTREMELY narrow. Less than 20' wide, slide outs almost touching, with limited vehicle parking. Low water pressure. Twelve channel cable very poor on most sites. Laundries mostly used by tenant in park that has wash/fold business for oil workers staying there. Very dusty with limited grass due to drought. Office and other staff, for the most part, condescending and unhelpful - answer is always "it is your problem." Park is so busy with oil/gas workers, they simply do not care who stays and who leaves.
Nice park especially for kids. Great pool and splash park, fishing, boat ramp. Some sites are very short and narrow, not all have picnic tables, not really "big rig" friendly. Lots of rules by management about not parking cars/boats/trailers on the streets and not leaving dogs unattended outside - all ignored by most guests and definitely not enforced in any way by management. Bathrooms and laundry dirty and messy. Laundry had more than half of both washers and dryers out of order with no evidence of trying to repair them. Staff marginally helpful and courteous. Lots of small children around park on bikes and scooters without any adult supervision at all hours of day/night. Have to be extremely careful driving on the interior park roads. Entry had large potholes next to drive that are difficult to miss in an RV. Other very nice parks/resorts in the area so we would probably not stay here again.
Easy access from I-20. Good cable TV and water pressure. Sites narrow/small, difficult to level. Some road noise from interstate. Rate reflects Good Sam discount, so it is too high for what is offered. Over 50% long term residents, mostly well kept sites.
Campground is primarily used by RV owners receiving service at Tiffin Motorhomes facility adjacent to campground. Location is all asphalt and gravel, sites not very level, very close together, water pressure extremely low. No charge for guests there for FIRST YEAR ONLY warranty work.
Attributes include location in Arlington with easy access to Dallas and Fort Worth, shaded sites, relatively quiet. We made reservation a few weeks in advance of arriving on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend for one week. Our site was the designated dump station/LP gas filling station where electric/water hookup had been added after the fact and it was very difficult to maneuver into and unlevel, not to mention noisy when golf carts and cars drove into the site for filling of propane bottles. Site was also next to very old mobile home in park. Not sure why any RV park would put guest in dump station site. WI-FI is Tengo internet at $5.00/day. Woodall's Directory rating of 5W was obviously purchased by advertising. Park map designates at least 75% of RV sites are long term/monthly sites. With the extremely poor site we had and the rate charged for it, we would not return to Treetops or any Carefree Resort.
Nightly rate far too expensive for what is offered. No WI-FI, no cable, narrow sites with gravel, tight to maneuver big-rig at entrance and pull-thru sites. Convenient location off I-64, for overnight only.
Limited access for big rigs, very narrow roads and some sites very narrow with minimal gravel base. Poor overall grounds maintenance, grass growing up thru wooden patios on some sites. Dogs unattended and barking outside and dogs not cleaned up after everywhere. Many long term or permanent tenants. Limited 50 amp service, good water pressure, good Wi-Fi and cable TV. Major Campground Directory ratings seem inaccurate.
Nice park. TL and Woodall's perfect ratings questionable. Mostly concrete with a few small trees. Sites not level, park slopes to provide drainage. Road noise is quite loud. Many monthly/permanent RVs, did not seem to enforce park's rule of no RVs older than 1995. Very friendly, helpful staff, nice facilities. Laundry quite messy and un-kept. Water extremely soft and hard to deal with. Free wi-fi good at times, poor at times. Shopping, golf, several restaurants within 25 miles. Definitely would stay here again.
Sites are definitely not big rig sites. We made reservation for 36 ft. with 4 slides pulled by dually truck. Site hookups located oddly at sites so that RV needs to be in middle of short site leaving no place to place tow vehicle. We inquired about parking sideways across site - no way. Signs all over office countertop about not parking in another RV site (there were plenty of empty sites available) and being charged for addltion site. We could not put out one of our slides due to electric pedestal so very close to RV and if we moved RV we had no place to park truck or could not reach electric connection. All sites are the same. Staff NOT helpful, sites NOT level (even though the manager swears they are. Heed these reviews about site size and hookups. For one night, if you have an RV less than 20 ft. with small tow vehicle, maybe okay for short stay.
Average, outdated KOA park. Sites and roads all gravel with difficult turns and difficult in and out. Not real easy access from interstate. Internet expensive ($5.95 per day). Cleveland is a nice "large" small town with lots of nice restaurants and shopping.
Very nice, well maintained park. Mostly pull-thru sites, good wi-fi (free), shade trees, quiet, very easy access from major interstates, nice swimming pool and fishing pond, helpful staff. Negatives - some sites have concrete picnic tables which could not be moved under your awning, laundromat dated and has limited hours. There is a very nice, clean laundromat across highway from park that is open til 8pm each day as well as nice full service (deli/bakery) grocery store about 1 mile from park in Fort Chiswell. Best park within 75 mile radius of Blacksburg/VA Tech/Roanoke. Would definitely return.
Nice location off interstate, fairly quiet. Trees and grassy sites. Nice facilities. Had problem with breaker in middle of night and staff was to contact manager but never heard anything from that person. For overnight, would stay here again.
Park is located just off I-35 near Austin which is good location for shopping and other activities; however, very noisy. Campsites close together. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of trees which would be good during summer.
Stayed here during winter 2007. Park is very clean and well kept and managers and staff are very friendly and helpful. All staff tried to accommodate most requests of guests; however, colder than normal temps in central Texas seemed to upset "Winter Texans" staying there and they tended to blame weather on staff. We found park to be very nice, staff very helpful, WIFI is FREE and as good as most other parks. Beautiful, constant level, Lake LBJ surrounds park. Gate is open during day and park is located in a very quiet location away from major highway, so no security problems. Problems with water system during our stay were due to public utility mechanical failure and we were updated repeatedly about situation which affected entire park and neighborhood close by. Staff worked very hard to maintain propane delivery to guests from outside service; however, due to state regulations about refueling propane; outside service decided to discontinue onsite propane delivery. While we were there park employees carried propane tanks into business in town to be filled and returned to guests. Sometimes rules that are made to benefit the majority upset a few. We would definitely return.
