This campground is very pretty and well maintained. The restrooms were clean and the showers were clean, but there was only 1 shower for each restroom, so there was always a wait. There is not a lot for small children to do in this park, as the playground is pretty old and only has a merry go round and teeter totter, but there are nice ponds to walk around and my boys enjoyed playing ball in the large fields. You can take a walk and look at the Dam, but its pretty far away still, so you can't see it that well. The sites were also pretty close together. We couldn't put our awning down. Some of the sites don't have fire pits, which ours did not, but the owner was nice enough to let us use one on a site that wasn't occupied. I don't know if we would camp here again since we have 2 small children, but it is a nice place if you are looking for some peace and quiet.
This was a nice campground and very close to downtown Leavenworth, which was the whole point of our trip. They had some fun activities planned for the kids for the weekend because it was their 30th Anniversary. I don't know if they have activities like that planned regularly. The playground and pool were very nice and well kept. The water front access to the River was very limited and Rocky. The sites are extremely close together and tight. We were able to put our slide out and awning out, but their is no privacy and not much space to spread out. The restrooms were clean. We would stay here again.
We loved this campground! I wish we would have time to go back again before the summer is over. The bathrooms near the bouncy pillow were kind of dirty, but I suspect that's because they were used more than any of the other bathrooms. We used the showers further up the hill and they were great. Our site was gravel, but level and with plenty of space. They set up inflatable bouncy houses for the weekend, free pancake breakfast, free ice cream sundaes, Tie die T-shirt making, build a bear, baked slugs, mini golf. There was so much to do, my boys didn't know where to start. Nice playgrounds and pool. Store has everything you could need. There is a great state park with a huge beach right across the street. If we weren't moving, we would make this a regular destination! Sites are a little pricey, but definitely worth it for everything you get!
This was a neat park to stay in. We were right on the water, which is why the rate was a little high, but you can get a site not on the water for less. We had a perfect spot and were not right next to anyone else. Some of the other sites looked a little tight. They have a nice walking path that goes around the whole park/marina. It was neat seeing all the boats in the marina and being able to walk on the beach. The restrooms were clean and showers were clean, but they were pay showers. There is no playground, but we walked in to town, which is very cute and there is a playground there. Lots of neat shops and restaurants. There are also a couple places to eat right in the campground, which was nice. The only real complaint I had was the smell. When the tide went out, the smell was horrible. It didn't seem to bother other people, but I didn't like it at all. I think if they spent some time cleaning up the water front a bit, it wouldn't be so bad.
The people were very friendly, the bathrooms were clean, it was relatively quiet and peaceful. Part of the RV camping is near the main road, so depending on the site you get, you may get road noise. They sell firewood, which was nice. Each site has its own fire pit and picnic table. We were disappointed at the water front access, not very nice and just 2 small areas. I was also disappointed that the website says there is a playground, but it was actually only a really old swing set. Our campsite backed up to a really steep drop off, which made us a little nervous with 2 little boys, but otherwise the park was very nice.
This park has the potential to be very nice, but it is not currently. A lot of the park was flooded. Half of our camp site was under water. The whole park needs lawn care and landscaping. The grass was too high and muddy to walk through. The bathrooms were dirty and not well kept. The playground was very muddy and not pleasant to play on. When we left, we had to back up down a long road because the road ahead of us was completely flooded. I think if they invest in some concrete and keep up with cleaning the bathrooms and landscaping, it would be a nice park.
We only stayed here one night while passing through town, but it was great for the short time we were there. Its a very nice, clean, and friendly park. Its off the highway a bit, so no road noise. The park itself is very well maintained and clean. The bathrooms were very clean with nice big shower stalls. They have a big store and a nice playground. We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for a week and loved it. Its half way between Disneyland and San Diego, so it was a great location for all the places we wanted to go on our vacation. Being so close to the beach was fabulous. The playgrounds and Park Recreation areas were great. The streets were quiet, so my children could ride their bikes. The bathrooms were a little old and rundown, but they kept them clean. They have a small laundry facility. It was very convenient to have the exchange and commissary close by for anything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.
This was a very nice, clean, and friendly park. They had a great playground for our kids to play at while we set up. They have a nice Pool and Jacuzzi, although we didn't use either because it was too cold outside. They have nice clean bathrooms and showers and a big laundry facility. We only stayed one night while we were passing through town, but enjoyed our stay.
