THIS WAS MY SECOND TIME VISITING THE PARK. THE FIRST TIME WAS JUST AS GOOD AS THIS TIME. THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THEY PLAN AND HAVE MANY OF ACTIVITIES DURING THE WEEKEND. THE ONE DRAWBACK ARE THE BATHROOMS. THEY ARE USABLE, HOWEVER DIRTY. SOME ROUTINE MAINTENANCE IS ALL THAT IS NEEDED. I WAS HESITANT ON GIVING THIS CAMPGROUND AN 8 BECAUSE OF THIS, HOWEVER BECAUSE MY FAMILY USES OUR CAMPER BATHROOM WE DID NOT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THE PARK'S BATHROOM. I WILL COME BACK AGAIN.
This campsite had no curb appeal. Right off the bat it looked old and unkept. The staff was okay, not overly welcoming. The pool was nice. The playground was in need of a serious overhaul. Everything was OLD and needed replacement. The kiddie pool was filled in with sand and the play toys were so old that some of them had sharp edges that might produce injuries. Bathrooms were old and smelly, somewhat clean. The C/G did not have activities planned for Sunday. There were many trailers there that looked like they were left there to rot so it seemed like a dumping ground for old trailers. Some sites looked awful (messy and filthy) and it didn't seem to bother the staff because these particular sites have been like that for a long time. How do I know this... the tires of the camper were halfway sunk into the ground. It did not present a good appearance. I will not camp here again.
This was a great campground. The best one my family has ever been too. It is the cheapest way to stay at a Disney Resort and get all the resort privileges. However, we came from New Jersey so we figured out we saved about $600 by driving. I think spending the extra $600 would have been worth it to fly. But the overall experience was wonderful. I definitely will come back.
The campground was clean and the staff were nice. The campground is sandy which was something I wasn't used to however, it really didn't present any problems except for more dirt in my camper. Maneuvering is a little tricky but you can manage. The miniature golf course is in disrepair and should be free to use. Hopefully the money they charge (not a lot, $2.00) will be used to fix it up. We stayed here to visit Great Adventure. I probably would stay here again, however I will look for a different campground first.
This campground was clean and the staff were nice. The bathrooms were clean and offered plenty of showers stalls. The site was easy to set up because it was a pull through. However, the non pull through sites gave plenty of room to maneuver. Now the little things. The game room seems to be old and has a musty smell. The miniature golf course they have is okay, (it is free to use) it is not really kept up. It is all overgrown with weeds and the putting surfaces need some TLC. We camped here in a travel trailer and we will come again.
The campground was clean and the staff were very nice. We camped there during Halloween and the staff had plenty of events to attend. Easy to maneuver. The rest room showers were okay. They could have been a little cleaner, however it didn't present a problem. I will camp here again. The campground is right around the corner from Hershey Park.
The campground was very clean and the staff were exceptional. The bathrooms, along with the showers, were also very clean. The prices for wood and propane are very reasonable. The campground is family oriented and is literally in the backyard of Dutch Wonderland. The only drawback were the T-shaped sites. My family was lucky that we were the only occupants at our site enabling us to maneuver very easily. However, if the other site was occupied it would have been difficult to maneuver. The overall experience certainly out weighs the site flaw. I definitely will camp here again.
