This is a great KOA. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good WI-FI, nice laundry facility and well stocked store. Site was level, plenty of room between sites, electrical, water and sewer were well located. This KOA is convenient to Richmond and other area attractions. We would stay here again.
This is basically an open field next to an mobile home park. The sites are some what level and has paved pads. Plenty of room between sites. Wi-Fi was good. There is no store or facilities. We came here from DC to avoid Hurricane Sandy. Perfect place, no trees. This ia a good location to tour Lynchburg, Appomattox and surrounding areas. Would stay here again.
Nice park, but sites were difficult to get into and not level. I had to put my front tires and leveling pads on blocks to get level. Word of caution getting there, I have two different GPS units and both wanted to take me past the entrance by about a mile. There is a sign with an arrow on the right side of the road on a curve about a block away then it's a sharp left. Would stay here again but would be a little more choosy.
What a great place. Perfect location for visiting DC., and the surrounding areas. At their suggestion we used the metro pass. It was so easy and kept the stress level down. They also have bus tours which they arrange. We took the night out and I would recommend that. This park bends over backwards to take care of your needs. We had booked for two weeks but because of Hurricane Sandy we left two days early and without question they refunded us for two days. Only negative is the freeway is Very Close and you get some noise. Love this place, we would stay here again.
Nice park, family campground. We were in the off season and were able to get a spot right on the river. Was very nice and quiet. Sites had plenty of room, although there were only about six campers besides us. One word of caution. It is on covered bridge road. Depending which way you come in: there is a covered bridge 12' 1". Manager was great and very accommodating. Would stay here again.
This is a nice campground. Sites were level, WI-FI was decent, and we were able to use our satellite dish. It is a little tricky getting to the upper area but not a problem. The biggest issue was the stink bugs; it’s been two months, and we are still finding them. We stayed here two weeks. Would stay here again if they could get a grip on the stink bug problem.
One of our friends recommended this to us, so we tried it. The owner greets you, get you checked in, asked if you would like a free beer and gets you to your site. Not much to see in the area but this is a great place to stay. Sites are level and plenty of room between sites. We would stay here again.
We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. We really recommend this to anyone traveling through the area. If you look at it on Google it looks very close to the freeway but you don't get the noise. Fuel is right there.
This is one great park. Good pull-through sites, very level, cement pads with lots of room between sites with a big patch of grass. No cable, but we have satellite. Good stopping off place. We have stayed here before and will stay here again. This park is an excellent value.
We have stayed here before and have enjoyed it. They are friendly, sites are level, room between sites. It is quiet even though it’s close to the freeway and a truck stop. Good Wi-Fi. Just a nice place to stay.
The only good thing I can say about this park is you can walk down to the river. To start off, the lady that checked us in never once cracked a smile. Work Kampers lead us to our sight and helped us set up as we were about 11 inches off the ground, shortly after, we were rudely told by the manager that we had to move forward in the site because he said we were too far back. Mind you two work Kampers placed us in this site. Fortunately a couple of the Work Kampers brought several 2 X 12s to put under our leveling jacks, 4 on one side 3 on the other. Now I ended up being 14 inches off the ground in the front instead of 11 (the manager told us we be more level which we knew we would not be and we weren’t). There are only 16 full hookup sites that are available. 6 more full hookups are available but the fulltime or workers are in those spots. They have added 6 more cabins and plan on adding more. The roads are very narrow. If you’re 30’ to 34’ you’re going to have trouble getting out if the park is full. We stayed here 4 days and would have left the first night had we not been prepaid. We would not stay here again. Outside of the person checking us in and the manager the Work Kampers were great. Wi-Fi only worked part of the time.
This is a good basic park. It’s all gravel, no trees, level sites, plenty of space between sites, friendly staff. Good cable and Wi-Fi. We stayed 3 nights and would stay again. Good location for sightseeing.
What a great park. The owner checked us in and was very friendly and helpful. The sites are level a little snug however you didn’t feel intruded upon. The park is very quiet, great laundry room, friendly staff, and BBQ to die for; if you stay here you have to have the BBQ. Good location to see the surrounding area. We would stay here again.
Large park, this is a good location for visiting the many attractions in the Colorado Springs area. The sites are supposed to be pull-through, however you have to disconnect or your tow or you would be in the middle of the road but there is plenty of room to park in your site. There is plenty of room between sites. We would stay here again.
We loved this place, we were right on the river. If you have satellite choose your site carefully. No road noise to speak of. laundry was good. wifi ok and sites had plenty of room. We would stay here again
W stayed here 10 days and found the parks very comfortable, however there is train noise but no traffic noise. With reference to previous comments the park is under new management. We found management and staff to be very friendly and helpful. There are a couple of rows that are better suited to smaller RV's but the rest of the park is well situated for larger RV's with slides. We would stay here again.
Nice little park. The manager greats you as you arrive and escorts you to your site; she was great. It is, however, right next to US-95, and the truck noise is exceptionally loud, and you do not drown it out by turning on a fan. The front row is great for a pull through, but the row behind is not. But we would stay here again.
Nice park, friendly staff, great laundry room and club house, clean, all blacktop surfaces. There were several long term residences, but all sites were kept very neat and clean. The interior roads are very narrow and difficult to maneuver, but the sites themselves are level and more than adequate. They do however have a large area both at the entrance and exit for unhooking and hooking up your tow vehicle. Good location to the Las Vegas Strip and it is quiet. We would stay here again.
This was a very nice park with very long and wide pull-through sites. Good Wi-Fi, cable TV, very nice laundry room and friendly staff. The only negative; the traffic from the mobile home park adjacent to this park entered and exited through the RV park and the residence seemed to drive very fast. We stayed 3 nights and would stay here again.
This was an old KOA campground that hasn’t been updated; the sites are tight and very dusty. Our site bordered Old Las Vegas Hwy. and at night it sounded like the trucks were driving through our motorhome. During a heavy rain we literally had a runoff that left over 2 inches of mud on our patio mat. That being said, of the parks around the area this seemed to be the best. Staff was friendly which helped. Also this park is conveniently located to the surrounding area. We stayed 4 nights. We would not stay here again.
Best deal in the area great for an overnight stay. The park was clean, manager was nonexistent, a little noise from the refrigeration on the trucks, but we would stay here again and have recommended it.
Very nice park, check in was very friendly, sites are level, easy to get into and plenty of room in between and easy to maneuver in and out of the park. They also had a fair price for their propane. We would stay here again
This is a great park. We stayed four nights. The sites were level and plenty of room in between. Good cable and WiFi. The people at check in were very friendly. A lot of full time folks and all were very friendly as well. The only criticism I have is they have a great park area on the river. However the docks were full of duck droppings and the large grass area had a lot of dog droppings. This place is a real gem; all it needs is a little TLC. Given this we would stay here again.
This is a very nice park. We stayed here on our way East in early February and again on our way back. Very clean park, paved roads and level concrete pads, nice picnic area with table and barbeque next to the site, good WiFi, cable and quiet (no trains). Owners go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. We highly recommend this park and will stay here again.
Small campground but very friendly owners, we had a low tire that needed attention and they went out of their way to find a compressor for me. Lots are level Wi-Fi and cable were good. This is a great location centrally located to Savannah and barrier islands. We would definitely stay here again. Great place.
This was a great park and we would stay here again. Friendly staff, very clean, some sites are tight as was ours, but easy to get in and out. Good cable, Wi-Fi very slow. This park is very quiet no trains or traffic noise. One note, if your going from East to West on Hwy 90 the turn sign for the park is missing so heads up.
The best thing about this park is the location. The sites were gravel and not level, cable and Wi-Fi is OK. Train track runs adjacent to the park behind the office and it is well used. That said, it is a great location, right across the street from the Gulf of Mexico and easy access to the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park is well maintained. We would stay here again.
We thought this was a great place to stay. The owner and staff were very friendly and went out of their way to insure you had a good stay. All site had level concrete pads and there is plenty of room between them, great cable and Wi-Fi. The Mississippi River was right across the street. The reason we gave this park a 9 was they were having issues with the washers and dryers. We did however get our laundry done. We will stay here again.
The sites are wide and level. The park owner is very friendly and wants to make sure your stay is a good one. All the people here are very friendly. They have an area enclosed with a fire pit, its a great gathering place and well used. We hope to come back again.
