Sites were very close together. Chlorine in pool was so strong we couldn't use it. Friendly staff. Great location for exploring Yellowstone.

This campground has many kid-friendly activities but feel extra "resort" fee per night is excessive. Sites very close together but level & easy access. Camp store well stocked. Staff friendly. Good location for exploring the area.

This is a beautiful park on Lake Blackshear. The sites are a little close but laid out nicely to allow a little privacy. There are a number of waterfront sites as well as a more wooded loop if that's your thing. Campground is situated on a cove which makes it nice for kayaking and fishing. Host was extremely helpful and friendly. The museum was at no additional fee and worth checking out. We will definitely return here.

We camped during spring break and expected this park to be busy. However, the only sites left were "overflow" which consisted of a large grassy area with hook-ups scattered about. Several campers were almost touching. The fact that several real campsites had been reserved to only hold someone's boat trailer made this a little tough to handle. The host said he couldn't do anything about it, although that was clearly against Ga State Park Rules. We were very disappointed. It is a short drive to Providence Canyon so at least we saw that. Closest real store is over 20 miles, so take what you need. Bathrooms were dirty and in disrepair. The pool is closed and the tennis court has grass and moss growing on it.

I believe this is one of the prettiest state parks in Ga. There is lots of shade but also lakefront sites. The grounds are well maintained. There are a lot of nice level paths for walking in the park as well as to the nearby village (which is just outside the park entrance). There are plenty of activities for the kids. If you don't want to cook one night there is a great bbq place a few miles down the road! The camp host we had was a little cranky and possessive but he moved on to another job within the park. The rate reflects Friends of Ga. State Park 10% discount.

This is a clean park with level, shady sites. I rated it a 7 because of the hassle factor. It is apparently very popular in the nearby towns. We camped during spring break week and on Friday morning had car after car driving through at 8am tagging sites to occupy later in the day. We also had a problem with finding a site when we arrived even though we had reservations. The host said they probably overbooked. He ended up removing a tag on a site with no camper for us to occupy. This was not the relaxed, stress free environment that we go camping for! I doubt I'd camp here again.

This has to be one of the cleanest, most well kept parks we have camped in. The sites and bathrooms were meticulous and the staff and hosts some of the friendliest we've encountered. The kids loved playing in the creeks. Nice pavilion and group fire-ring as well as horseshoes and volleyball. Rate listed is with Friends of Ga. State Parks discount. We'd definitely go back!

Georgia Power campgrounds as a rule are very nice and well run. This park is no exception. You must call for reservations, not available online. Check them out!

Needed a place to stop over while traveling during Thanksgiving. Did not reach anyone in the office but took a chance since there were no other campgrounds in the area. Another camper met us at the office and assisted us in locating a site. Large pull through sites but somewhat unlevel. No problems with hook-ups. Long term guests as noted by others but no problems. Staff was very friendly the next morning and gave us better directions to reach our destination than our GPS had given. I'd stay here again.
