Do not know where all the good ratings are coming from. Getting to sites were very hard to navigate. Scraped trees on all sides when making a turn which we later had to pay to get buffed out. Site was very narrow and grassy and not enough room to park toad. Site was also infested with fire ants which the owner made a joke about. Sewer flies were in the sewer hook up so we could not hook up sewage while there. Asked for a refund so we could leave, but owners would not refund due to their policy which we did not know about and was not disclosed upon check-in. Stay at this park at your own risk. If you do, only pay for one day at a time.
The rate cited reflects a Passport America discount. Good for an overnight stop. Glad we made reservations ahead; the park was full. Paved roads are a little tight and site narrow but was doable in a 43' coach. Owner very congenial. Small park with some full-timers, but we would use again for overnight. Would stay here again.
This was a great campground. Sites very level. Sites mostly back ins but very long and concrete. Streets were paved and easy to maneuver (43' coach). The owners were accommodating, helped us with backing and checked on us each day to make sure everything was okay. Park was very clean and workers worked continuously on landscaping. We would definitely come back. Only a few miles from really good seafood restaurants, etc.
The plus is this is a super location. Staff friendly. Hard to reserve a specific site ahead so you have to gamble to get a pull thru at the front which is the only sites acceptable to us. Sites are either gravel or grass, no pads. No trash pick up. Trains do keep you awake at night, plus lots of sirens and traffic. This is not a very good area of town and there is absolutely no security of any type. Will stay somewhere else next time.
Good sites. Great views of Smoky Mountains. Very winding road driving to park and it is also about 7 miles from the activity of Pigeon Forge. Advertised cable but it was a type of digital box that you had to hook up to your television and it would not work with our system. No security, no trash pick-up. Passport America sites were gravel back-ins that were not adequate for our RV so we had to pay for a premium site. Would not stay here again. Would stay closer to town with better choices in the area.
Stayed here off and on for several years but the park is getting very run down. Grass growing up in concrete, very poor landscaping, etc. Looks as if it is not being maintained. Casino comps are so tight they squeak. We stayed here five nights and still did not have enough comps to pay for a buffet or one night in the park even though we spent $$$$$. Last day we pulled out of the way into remote parking. Security came and advised us they would knock on the door hourly until we left. My wife was at the casino and I had to find her and leave the parking lot. Looks like they do not want our business and we will not be back.
Would have rated this campground except for the entrance road going into the park. Impassable, asphalt torn up, straight down and up a very steep hill. Once you get into the park it is just okay. A few pull through sites, but interior roads need repair, no cable, and trash has to be taken to one location. Would have rated it lower, had it not been for the new owners. They are trying very hard to make a go of this park. Will camp here again since it is the only campground convenient to Greenville, SC. where we visit relatives once a year that is acceptable.
Very clean park. All concrete sites. Sites not very long and a little tight. Streets were easy to maneuver. Negatives were sand fleas/gnats and Wi-Fi was inconsistent. Camped here with a rally. Would stay again.
Rate reflects Passport America. Friendly staff, lead you to site and offer to help with hookups. Great location just off I-20 half way between Atlanta and Birmingham. Easy to get in and out and level pull throughs. What else can you ask for an overnight..
Don"t go here especially if you are over 36ft. and towing. Sites just cut out in some woods on top of a hill above motel and low end apts. Be careful or you will scrape going in and out. If you make a wrong turn going into motel you are in trouble. Had to check in a motel, no office, clerk said to just go to top of hill and turn into park. No assigned spaces, finally had to get out of coach and wander around trees to find the last pull through. No amenities, no nothing, never again.
Plus side was the good location for the interstate, level sites, and family owned and operated. Lots of pride and a very clean campground. Negatives were the very narrow sites, gravel and no amenities. Good for only getting off the interstate.
Do not know where previous higher ratings came from. Only positive thing was that it was close to Interstate. Hard to find pull thru spots. Just a grass and dirt field with pine trees. Just pull into field and find where you can hook up. Did not honor price on billboard. Told needed a satellite friendly site , put us under pine trees. Power pole did not even have breaker box. Should have stayed at Wal-Mart on next exit,
