Very nice park directly across the street from marina at the lake 6 miles south of Estacada. Great Wi-Fi and level sites with lots of room. Didn't even know this park was here. We always parked our motorhome near Portland and drove to Estacada to visit family. We will stay here from now on.
This is an excellent RV Park. Lots of pull-through's, new back-ins, and all the amenities. We've passed this park for a long time heading from the Bay Area to the North. Glad to have stayed here this time. The Office staff and manager are VERY kind and service oriented. You won't be sorry you stayed here.
This is about the best you can get, if you are looking for beauty along with your hook-ups. When the county park system adds more "premium" sites this will be the best around for hundreds of miles. I can only think of how nice it is during the summer. Don't miss this park!
This park is fine for an overnight stay. About 10 sites available for overnighters. All are nice pull-throughs. BUT this park is not very pet friendly. You must walk your pet all the way across the park to a little fenced in area. Normally this would be OK, but they need to keep this area free of leaves and add some new gravel. We would stay here again if we are in need of a stop.
New owners are putting a lot of their heart and soul into improving this campground. I can't wait to return next year to see all the changes they have planned. Even now it is a terrific camping experience.
What an incredible experience. Park is more beautiful than I remember it from 2 years ago. They continue to improve the campground every day. The staff is wonderful and the owners are dedicated to their guests having a terrific stay. If you haven't been to Sedona and Rancho Sedona RV Park you need to go. This is a must!
Manager is friendly and a real pro. Owner really cares about his customers and is always working on improving this new RV park. Stay here and visit Yreka and the local shops and restaurants. Don't miss Capp's Speakeasy downtown. Upscale Mexican food, steaks, etc. A real treat. Say hi to the owner. He is the chef working in the kitchen.
This park used to be part of the Western Horizons system and was purchased by a couple last year. They have worked really hard in making this park a resort. Trimmed trees, upgraded electrical, hired great staff, put in an Espresso bar and a weight room, etc. The park is a terrific bargain and a wonderful place to stay. It is right at the entrance to the Grand Coulee Corridor. If you've never been there or you haven't been there in a while, you owe it to yourselves to check it out.
This park will be a 10 when all the planned improvements are done. The plans are extensive. The new management is very friendly and helpful. Park is in the middle of everything and easy, short, drive to everything you need. Don't hesitate to stop any chance you get. Great home base for exploring the gold country without giving up good restaurants and shopping.
A lot of good work is being done on this park. New cement slabs, new cabins, fresh grass and crushed granite. All of this will make this park more enjoyable come summer. One word of advice though: if you want to make sure you can use your satellite, then park in the crushed granite sites. (Lot less trees to block signal). We will definitely return.
Great park in a terrific location. We watched the Disney fireworks out the front window of the coach. Park is well kept and staff is friendly and knowledgable. You can't ask for too much more from a park in the city. We'll be back!
I hate to downgrade a park I rated so high less than a year ago but I must. We stopped here for a night on the way to Las Vegas and then a week later on the way home. On both stays we found the pet litter receptacle overflowing and no morning paper and the sand is impossible to keep out of the coach. In addition, there is a chicken farm/horse stable on the south end of the park that is noisy and smells very bad. While I know this is not controllable by the park, it does exist and will influence any future stays. Staff is very nice but the restaurant and gift shop have slipped a little too.
This should be a 10 rating. A terrific park extremely well maintained. A must when visiting the Paso Robles or Hearst Castle area. The only detraction would be that there are lots of rules regarding dogs but almost nobody follows them. We kept our dog on a leash when outside at all times and had many dogs running up to us loose. Most were well behaved but it would only take one larger dog to hurt a person or animal. We will stay here again though.
This is a correction of the review I left in June. I rated the park poor but gave it a "9" in error. Staff was barely civil, but it is a poorly maintained campground that needs lots of fixing. I doubt we would ever return.
Still like the staff and the setting. They continue to keep the park maintained well. But I had to bring the rating down this trip due to the lack of a proper place to walk our dog. The "designated pet area" is an area where they pile dirt and limbs and leaves. My dog went in there white and came out brown. An RV park guest should not have to bath their pets every time they go for their walk. I raised my concern with the staff. I hope it gets passed on to management. We will consider another park next time because of this issue.
Lots of work has been done. New paint, wood stained, trees trimmed, roads in great shape. Kudos to all the workers and managers. Snack bar is open and the cooks do a terrific job. Everything on the dinner, lunch, and breakfast menu is delicious. Don't miss this if you visit. Only thing keeping it from a perfect 10 is the sites need new gravel. A little dusty.
This is the best "bang" for $30 you will find anywhere. Just don't know how I would ever fault it. Superb customer service. Even the price of diesel at the truck stop was the lowest price I have seen in weeks. Just plain terrific.
This is a great park in the tall trees with a stream running next to it. It was very quiet but a little tight for bigger rigs. (Not impossible though). The motel next to it is very nice, made from cabooses. There is a great restaurant that is part of the motel complex. Train lovers will want to come back. We'll stay again.
We stay at this park every time we visit or pass through Red Bluff. Every time we are impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They make you feel welcome! Also, the "free" WiFi has the best and fastest connection we have experienced in any park, free or not. Grocery, restaurants, etc within 1 block. This deserves a 10.
Excellent new park. Spacious sites, terrific customer service and great restaurant. The only thing I would change is to make the pads concrete. We will stay here anytime we are going through Bakersfield.
Brought a group of people to the Peppermill in 2 coaches. Stayed here and found it clean and orderly. I didn't expect a "destination" park so I was not disappointed. Location is very convenient to the Peppermill.
We have stayed here several times in the last couple of years and again, this is a good experience. The park is laid out well and is clean as a whistle. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Wifi works great and I recommend this park for anyone coming to this part of Northern California. This rating should be a 9.9!
This park has something for everyone. Owner, staff go out of their way to accommodate and make you feel welcome and important. Lots and lots of improvements, renovations going on with very little disruption. Very family oriented with spectacular views. We will return a lot!
Staff was excellent. Park was in a great location but the sites were all dirt and not very level. They could make this a truly great park if they would put in paved pads or at least level gravel. I will stay here again only if I have to.
This will be the park by which we will measure all other parks. Beautiful. True country-club feeling with lots of staff keeping grounds perfect. We were in in the off-season and I can't wait to go back and see everything in full-swing. We liked this so much we will probably buy a site here and go often. Do yourself a favor and visit this park!
Pulled in and went to our site and pulled right back out and went to another park. This is not an RV park. It is a huge mobile home park for "snowbirds". Park has almost 2000 spaces but only a handful of RV spaces mixed in. In the summer it is a "ghost town". We will not return.
Owners and staff certainly do deserve credit for maintaining a clean well laid out park. Sites are level and roads are wide enough that if your rig is a little too long for the site, it is not obstructing traffic. Looks like the pool has been rebuilt and the water is clean and fresh. Well-stocked store. Sites are sand and dirt but the other amenities offset this one drawback. We would stay again on our way to Vegas.
Great park in the mountains with pine trees all around. This is our second visit and there has been a lot of work keeping the sites up-to-date. Staff is terrific and helpful. Close to old town, shops, and restaurants.
We are leaving the park a day early and driving to another where there might be more to see and people to talk to. Since KOA moved away, this park has closed its terrific little store, reduced security and personnel, removed cable TV etc, but raised rates. Still clean but with nothing but the hotel/casino to draw, people are not here. Staff was a big plus here when we visited before. KOA took the staff with them and there is nobody here except a desk clerk who is not familiar with RVs. This could be a great park with active owners and activities. Still OK for a place to visit Reno area from. But just OK!
This is a "member" park. Park has done a lot of work in the last year with new paved roads and WiFi and improved cable TV. However, cabins need a lot of work and sites need new gravel or paved. Wifi is weak at best. Water pressure is quite low in some areas of park. These items dropped my rating from 9 to 7 this year.
Great park. Manager came out of the office to greet us and guided us to our spot and parked us perfectly. Very friendly staff. Park is very clean and well maintained. Close to Monterey and Carmel and within walking distance to antique shops and restaurants. Only thing that kept this from being a 10 is their WIFI does not reach to the far corners of the park. We will return often.
The staff at this park are as good as any we've seen to date. Helpful, courtious, and very organized. Park is very well maintained even with heavy rains this weekend. Location to the "village" and the ocean can't be beat. We will come back as soon as possible.
What made this park most attractive was the staff. They did everything possible to make our stay pleasant. Well stocked store and great proximity to the Reno Hilton. I brought a group up to the Hotel and we stayed in the RV park. We will return often.
Very wide spaces for Big Rig. Restrooms and showers need "sprucing up". Lots of activities and friendly staff. Only lack of paved or gravel pads keep me from rating higher. Too much dirt and guests drive a little too fast.
