The reviews about tight site space are correct. The landscaping between sites is lovely and provides privacy between you and your neighbor, but truly they are too close together. We only stayed one night and might have stayed another, but I could not see spending a large amount of time here and expect to enjoy the outdoor space around my site. And no way could a person extend their awning. The road noise is noticeable at night with a window cracked open. The grounds are well kept, shower and laundry areas clean. The Wi-Fi was an odd set up with each person getting their own codes and it takes a little bit for them to call it in (?) to the company. The desk person was a bit short with me and did not take time to listen. He seemed nervous or over worked, but he definitely did not give me his undivided attention. I would stay here again if I needed to spend a short bit of time in the area.
Nicest campground we found in Montana off Hwy 90. Has spacious grounds, with level and nicely spaced sites. Hosts (owners) were extremely friendly and they have apparently done many improvements over the years to this RV park. Buildings done in log cabin style and the views are phenomenal. Plenty of places to walk around the property with trails and it's close enough to the cute town of St. Regis for a nice walk. Wi-Fi is fast without any difficulties. There are many activities for families: horseshoe pit, volleyball net, etc. There is a pool which we did not use, but it looked clean and cared for. Laundry facilities were adequate. They have a store with some necessities, and sell the largest marshmallows I've ever seen! Has Huckleberry items and a selection of polished rocks for the kids. My children were given a free rock as a souvenir. Highly recommended!
First of all, our rate reflects extra people. Normal charge is $33.00. This is the nicest of the three campground options around Bozeman in my opinion. (I stayed at one of the others and viewed the third). The office staff was friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi worked great. Restrooms and showers were extra clean. Had tiled showers and good hot water. The heated pool looked clean, lovely and inviting though we did not use it. Other reviews show some difficulty with leveling. We had only a minor leveling problem which was easily remedied. The view is marvelous. Had some highway noise depending on which way the wind was blowing and periodic train noise too. None of it mattered as I was happy to find a friendly and clean place to stay for a few days. Also has easy access to Highway 90 and good laundry facility with front loading washing machines.
This KOA park seems to have a lot of site choices, from economy to deluxe. Economy equates to unlevel so beware. I needed to upgrade just to get a level site. The Wi Fi is slow as noted by other reviewers. I am here during mid week off season and think the price is rather high, though it does reflect two children. This is my biggest beef with KOA's in general. he extra charge per all persons over two. Helpful staff. I would try to find less expensive accommodations if in the area in the future.
Great place! Overall very clean with level sites. Small park with a few full timers. Quiet place by a stream. Gated with access codes. Great cable and Wi-Fi connection.Friendly staff. I gave it a 9 only because I did not use all the facility. Only place open for us during the April off season and a really pleasant surprise. In fact we stayed a second time on our way back through even though it was a bit out of the way for us.
My only negative comment is about the sites. They don't appear to be too level. We were not able to level our motorhome and the owners found us a site which was level. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I believe they are still trying to work out the kinks of a fairly new RV park. The grounds are spacious and the surrounding area quiet, except for an occasional train whistle) There appears to be lots of kid/family friendly things to do here, but not at the time of year we visited, which is normal. The owner does have quite a menagerie of animals (snakes, turtles, a parrot among them) and is more than willing to show them to the children. I only hope that I will find as nice a campground as I get closer to Atlanta!
KOA's in general charge for extra people, so our rate may be higher as we travel with our children. This KOA is phenomenal! The owners are helpful and friendly people. The sites are comfortable. The grounds are lovely with lots of trees and the lake close by. There's even a small menagerie of exotic animals. My only complaint is the highway noise as the highway is very close and the noise was constant, but not so much that we could not sleep. We would stay here again.
