The manager at Sweetwater RV is an amazing, pleasant credit to this very poorly maintained park. Lots of low hanging trees make it very marginal for class A RV's. There are also loads of active fire ant mounds. Fifty amp service is correctly wired at our site, but none of the open spaces in the campground have covers over the sewer lines. This is an overnight stay. Would probably look for alternatives if possible. Tolerable for one night...yes. Preferred...not.
An exceptionally nice park. Interior roads are paved and sites are level gravel with well maintained landscaping/grass. Sites are spacious. Owners/employees obviously take a lot of pride in this park - and it shows. We will come back to this park anytime we're in Missoula. Stayed here in a motorhome.
This park is a nice alternative to the other more expensive parks in Billings: especially if you don't need a broad base of amenities. Sites are all back-in, paved and have a small area with grass. The park is clean and well maintained. The staff was exceptionally pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.
Made a reservation 24 hours prior to arrival, and arrived at 1 PM. Checked in at motel office first. Proceeded to RV park. Assigned pull thru site was 50% water and mud. Alternative back-in sites had electrical boxes in large puddles of water. Yes, there had been a lot of rain. However this was a wide open, all gravel, "level" park that had not been maintained. Asked for and received a refund. Can't recommend this park!
Camped here for one night. With no reservations, obtained one of the last spots available for Friday evening. Dirt/gravel sites are fine for overnight stay. Staff is pleasant and very accommodating. Lots of trees, with some needing trimming for larger motorhomes. Most families camping here are on vacation. Would stay here again.
We extended our planned two week stay by another two weeks at Wagonhammer last year. Not only did we feel very welcomed, the owners and their co-hosts became our personal family concierge as we toured the area. They actually made white water raft trip as well as dinner reservations for our group. The setting at Wagonhammer is spectacular, the park is very well kept, and the restrooms and showers are spotless. We'll "Be-Back" (Wagonhammers term for return visitors) for the entire month of August this year, for our third stay.
The Elkhart County Agricultural & 4H Fairgrounds is an ideal place to stay while visiting Goshen, and nearby towns like Shipshewana, Elkhart, and Nappanee. The sites are reasonably sized, well graveled, and the roads are paved. All sites are back-in style. While here, heavy storms have generated some temporary small "mud puddles." However, the heavy rain has not produced any flooding within the park. We would definitely stay here again.
