This park is in a great location right on the bay. It has a nice dog walk on grass that fronts the bay. When we first arrived the place was just about full and seemed very cramped, like being in a large asphalt parking lot. But after the weekend it cleared out to about 1/2 full and then was very nice for the rest of the week. This is a back in only park, so those wanting pull through will have to go elsewhere. Very quiet at night and a great spot to enjoy the water and get around San Diego quickly. Would stay there again, maybe later in the summer when it wouldn't be too crowded.
We had stayed at this park 3 years before and really liked it, but it has changed management and were very unhappy this time. We even left a day early even though we couldn't get a refund. Firstly, when I called to make the reservation I was not told they no longer had cable TV. Even when we checked in they didn't tell us. We found a notice in with the papers we got. We could not get any TV on our antenna. Secondly, they have very strict rules about no chairs on lawns, but there is not enough room on the cement pad to put any chairs. There's a long list of what you can not have outside your rig, but none of the long term people are complying and no one seems to be enforcing them. So, why do they expect the visitors to comply when they don't enforce the rules on the permanent residents? The park is definitely going down hill since the last time we were there. We will find another park the next time in the area.
This is a nice park with lots of pine trees, a pool and friendly managers. The best spots are up on the hill where there are decks and more shade. We stayed down at the bottom because we wanted 50 AMP service. I don't think there is any 50 AMP up the hill, but if you don't need more than 30 AMP, the nicest spots are at the top.
