This was my second stay here this year (previous was in late April) and both times have been extremely pleasant. Quiet and peaceful campground in a scenic setting right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway with well maintained facilities. Verizon 3G signal provided surprisingly good bandwidth for a seemingly out of the way location. If camped in the wooded area, be aware that many of the big trees are oaks and in the fall they drop cluster bombs of acorns!

What a beautiful and peaceful park! The wooded sites are spacious and surrounded by a beautiful mixed pine forest. As mentioned previously, the bath facilities are new and clean. There are two small lakes and a seasonal camp store nearby. Water is available at several common sites around the campground, but there were no on-site water hookups that I observed. Per the campground map, there are only three 50A sites available. Neither of those items impacted my stay, although I suppose I must deduct a point for the water to retain my credibility. I loved this serene place!

I have to agree with all of the previous comments. This is a very well maintained campground right on the Coosa River in Gadsden. The facilities are among of the best I've seen with private showers and very clean restrooms and laundry. The water and electric were good and the Wi-Fi was lightning quick. My only complaint is with the size of the sites. While my visit was just a stop over and it did not negatively affect me, this campground would be a "10" with larger sites and a less congested layout.

A wonderful surprise of a county park right on the Mississippi River. Fairly well maintained sites, mostly in the big trees with plenty of shade. Good water and electric with lots of space between sites. Friendly, attentive staff went overboard to make my stay a pleasant one. There is a huge tower from which to watch the massive barges ply the Big Muddy and acres of open grass to lounge or play on. Cellular signal is marginal as mentioned, but worked well enough for email and light browsing. Watching the sun set over the Mississippi River from this beautiful park, is a sight I will never forget.

This is a really beautiful and lovingly maintained COE campground right on the Arkansas River, southeast of Pine Bluff. Huge trees shelter every site and you have a choice of nestling in a grove of them, or staying right on the waterfront. The couple who take care of this place are friendly, helpful and have done a tremendous job maintaining it on inadequate federal funds. No great number of services or attractions, but as much quiet and relaxation as you could want. Cellular data signal was fair to good. Yes, the bathrooms are still waiting for the maintenance mentioned in the previous review, but that in no way diminished my enjoyment of this gorgeous and peaceful campground. It was so nice that I stayed an extra night.

This park is in a very beautiful setting, in a pretty meadow, beside a nice lake. As mentioned previously, there is a big fishing dock and boating available. The electric and water were very good and the wireless (cell) reception was adequate. The park appears well-maintained and clean. The sites are very narrow, have no picnic tables, shelters or shade and are very densely packed. I was one of only four rigs in the park, and it was quiet and very peaceful, but in the busy season I could see it being a problem. My sewer hookup was damaged and repaired with duct tape which made my connection very dicey. Now, I like duct tape as well as the next guy, but not on a septic standpipe. A fine experience overall, but points lost for the issues mentioned. Rate given includes one night at Passport America discount.

The sites were level, the water and electric were good and the facilities well maintained. It was clean, peaceful and quiet and the little pond is charming. However: a previous reviewer mentioned the problem with the smell from the factory farms surrounding the park, and I have to say that they were either not here when the wind was blowing north, or have a much higher tolerance than I do. The stench was powerful and relentless and completely negated the otherwise pleasant character of this campground. I cannot recommend it and that's a shame.

If there is a nicer, more well-maintained, more scenic and more peaceful campground anywhere, I have yet to find it. A previous reviewer described it as a gem and it is that and more. The views are spectacular and the nearby landscape is surreal. If you are venturing anywhere in central New Mexico it is a must see. The rate given is for a beautiful, secluded, perfectly level site with no hookups.

The park consists of mostly level, gravel sites on several levels. It is extremely clean and well maintained with a very pleasant and helpful staff - they really couldn't have been nicer. On the down side, the area is not scenic in the least and there are no picnic tables at the smallish sites. It was perfect for my needs, however. Rate is for Passport America discount.
