The campground is in a hilly area with many trees. Most spots would be difficult to get into for a large motorhome. There were only two toilet/shower rooms so be prepared to use what you have in your camper. The place seems to be a work in progress. There are still exposed cables between site hook-ups. The friendliness of the office personnel depends greatly on who you talk to. Cable is available, but only if you have your own converter box. Wi-Fi is free, but be sure to ask for the password at the office before they close. It's not printed anywhere on the rule sheet they give you.
This is a fair campground to spend the night. We ended up here because the other campground in town didn't take reservations. This place is located a few minutes from I-75, but there is some traffic noise from the local highway. Spaces are close, but I've seen worse. The owners are friendly. This isn't a destination campground, but if you're passing through and you don't mind the noise of people coming and going at 4:00 in the morning, it's acceptable. We would stay again if we were only looking for a place to sleep.
The campground is certainly a resort. They have many activities to take advantage of. We were here during their summer kick-off and the pool did get quite busy. But the place is huge and there was room for more. They also schedule use for birthday parties for non-campers. It all made for a very busy weekend for the swimming pool. Fortunately, the place was calm and relaxing during the week. I would stay here again, but steer clear of their summer kick-off weekend!
We stayed in the River Campground area. We had a reservation, but the hosts were nowhere to be found when we arrived. There was no available Wi-Fi connection on our side of the campground. We could only get 2 TV channels with our antenna. When severe weather threatened, we discovered we had totally lost all reception. Bathrooms are very dated and some restroom buildings were locked. The shower was clean, but not one I would use if I had a choice.
We camped here in early May and the place was not crowded at all. It's very clean and well-maintained. Sites are shaded. Some have concrete pads. The pool is huge and the pool-side bar is nice too. The Wi-Fi was okay, but slow. We will certainly be camping here again!
This is a nicely-updated park which is well-kept and very clean. The staff was helpful and ever-present. There were just a few drawbacks. Getting a warm shower was a challenge. I don't know what the problem was, but since you cannot control the temperature on the showers, you get whatever water temperature comes out of the shower head. Five out of our 8 showers were way too chilly! The pool is nice and they say it's heated, but it was also cold (around 75 degrees) and full of bugs. The campground does have a wooded walking trail in it and plenty of shade trees. Perhaps that's partly the reason that we only got 2 channels with our antenna.
