This was our second time at Frontier Town, and it was better than we remembered it. Our site was roomy, level, and partially shaded. This is a very family friendly campground. There is a large water park and a western theme park on the premises. Admission to the water park is free for campers. The park features a well stocked camp store, a large arcade, and a few eateries on site. There is a shuttle to the beach that runs until 10pm. I would have given this park a solid 10, but the traffic within the park is a bit much. There were so many golf carts and cars driving around that I wouldn't let my kids ride their bicycles.
We stayed here over Columbus Day weekend and had a great time. The campground is just off of Skyline Drive and the scenery is fantastic. The campground was spotless and had very roomy sites. There was a live band Saturday night that played in the central pavilion while campers enjoyed the warmth of their individual campfires. This was our first trip to this campground, but we will definitely return. Highly recommended!
This is our third trip to the Hatteras KOA. The campground is very clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly. We loved the fact that the campground no longer charges for the kids train and the moonbounce pillow. The campground has a nice camp store and two decent size pools. Two waterslides were added to one of the pools this year. This is one of our all time favorite campgrounds and is a great place to take the kids. We highly recommend the Hatteras KOA.
The owners have been doing a lot of renovations to improve the campground. We stayed in a site that was about 40 yards from the lake. The site had brand new water and electric connections. The sites were level side to side, but there was too much of a slope front to back to get perfectly level. The sites were good sized, but need more gravel to help hide the mud from all the recent digging. We found the staff to be very friendly. There was a free Fathers' Day breakfast on Saturday that was delicious. With a little more tender loving care, Small Country could be a very nice campground. We will definitely visit again, and I would recommend this campground to others.
This park is located on the south side of Lexington approximately 30 minutes from Natural Bridge. The park is exceptionally clean and area is very wooded/natural. The campground is not on the water, but the lake is a very short walk away. All the sites have water and electric and there is a dump station on site. The staff at the park were extremely friendly as were all the campers in the area. We have visited Natural Bridge a few times now, and Lake Robertson is by far the best campground in the area! I would have given the park a 10, but there isn't much of a camp store and the sites do not have sewer.
The park was very clean and had nice level sites. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a trolley stop at the entrance to the park that will take you to the tourist areas of Gatlinburg. I would recommend this park to others and would stay here again.
The campground was very quite since we were visiting during the off season. The sites were large and had steel fire rings with grills. The sites had cable, but ours did not work. The indoor pool could have been great, but the area did not smell clean and the pool itself was very cold. The staff at the park were friendly. WiFi was avaiable for an extra charge.
