Very nice park, shaded campsites and clean restrooms. They even have a swimming pool that opens Memorial Day. Plenty of hiking and biking trails, canoe rental and a cafe store. The cafe serves breakfast reasonably priced and really good. The site rate reflects a senior discount.
A very nice campground in this state park. Most of the sites are angled (as opposed to 90 degree) to the campground road making backing in very easy. Sites 1 - 30 have new sewer hookups available. Bathrooms were very clean. Lots of hiking trails available. Park is very busy on weekends so come during the week to avoid the crowds.
Stayed here 3 nights. Site was tight to get our 34 foot trailer into. Would have been much better if the site sign post was on the opposite side of the entry. Lots of shade. Wife got bitten by chiggers but that is florida. Suwanee river is close by for water activities. We rented canoes and had a great time. Plenty of trails for walking and riding bicycles. Restrooms were clean and well maintained.
This state park was a surprise. It is located on a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico. Half of the island is commercialized and the other half is the state park. You can easily walk from the campground to the beach. The grandkids loved it. There are several pavilions along the beach for use. The beach was beautiful, very similar to the other beachs of north florida. Campground was well maintained with clean restrooms. No seeums around but that is florida.
A very nice state park campground. The tour of the caverns was informative. The tour lasted abour 50 minutes. Campground was nice, restrooms were clean. Site was sandy and interior road was paved. Most sites shady.
