This is a beautiful 18,000 acre park operated by the National Park Service. The web site indicates RV's are restricted to 32 ft, but this is not true. Larger units can be accommodated. All sites are heavily wooded and the campground is 7 miles from the entrance to the park. The staff and campground host are very helpful and friendly. This is a campground for people who want to be close to nature. If you desire swimming pools, etc., this park is not for you. It is within a 1/2 mile of I-95 located just 30 miles south of Washington D.C.

This is a wonderful campground within a wonderful park. There is lots of shopping just outside of the gate. They now have a campground host in the winter.

This is a National Park facility, 18,000 acre forest with 100 camp sites carved out of the forest. Reservations are available, but not necessary. All sites have paved parking. Many miles of hiking trails. A concession operated RV park with full hook-ups is available, but does not provide access to the park.

All sites are concrete and most are level. One pull-thru. Heavily wooded, quiet, and 8 miles from town. Each site has a BBQ and picnic table. Little to do aside from enjoying nature. Fishing close by. I would stay here again.

Beautiful campground with nice level concrete pads. Lots of trees - lots of shade. Camp sites are not crowded together. Playgrounds for kids. From Monroeville, AL go 8 miles north on St Road 41 to county road 17. West follow signs to campground. When leaving the park retrace you steps to St Rd 41 - otherwise your GPS will take you down a narrow dirt road.

This is an excellent park for snowbirds. Just outside the main gate is anything and everything you could want. The campground arrangement is a bit unusual. 9 circles each consisting of 8 - 10 campsites each are arranged along the campground road. Each circle has one paved campsite, the rest are grass. All roads are paved and there are no low hanging tree branches to look out for. Three full service restroom/shower houses are arranged along the campground road. This park is better arranged for RVs but tents are accommodated well. A very friendly campground host is present during the snowbird season to arrange various activities for the campground. Security service patrols the entire park throughout the night. We would return again.
