This is a LA State Park on the coast. One of the two bathhouses was completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. All sites are large pull-throughs. You have easy access across the sand dune to the surf. Activities include surf fishing and crabbing. Charter boats services are available for both near and off shore fishing trips. Fresh seafood is abundant and available everywhere.

This is my wife and I's favorite campground and we try to camp here at least one weekend every month or two. The road in the campground area and all sites have recently been overlaid with new asphalt and many of the sites have been lengthened. This campground is very remote but very beautiful, with very few places with cell phone service. It is very quiet and full of large shade trees. There are about 12 small piers on the river for anyone's use for fishing or just sitting and watching boats, birds, etc.

Very nice and clean park. Some sites are unlevel due to the park being on a mountain, but the majority are good. We stayed here over the 4-day July 4th weekend and while the park was full everything was quiet.

This is a small state park and the layout is great for small children to ride their bikes. The sites are large and have plenty of space between them. All sites are paved and most have large wooden decks (roughly 16' X 24') attached to them. Advance reservations are recommended as this park books up, especially on weekends.
